| Haha, that's one of the first things my dad said, "Whoa, when did Nathanael get a goatee?" ...then of course through the whole thing my mom kept calling you Daniel and Daniel Jason and confusing me...
Nate, your singing gets better and better... the duet was great.

So really, "What is the air speed velocity of an unlaiden swallow?"
It's quite simple:
Drag on a body in a fluid is:
D = 1/2 (Cd*pi*r^2*rho*Vo^2) Cd = coefficient of drag of the swallow pi = 3.1415... r = radius of bird cross-section (approximating as a circle) rho = viscosity of air Vo = velocity For steady state flight, D (drag) = T (thrust), so:
------------------------------
| Vo = sqrt(T/Cd*pi*r^2*rho) |
------------------------------ |

| I would also like to hear what Nate is currently up to....
I think that he knew that I was coming to his blog... so he ran away as fast as he could .
Hey... remember... when... a long time ago... we used to talk all the time online... well... not all the time... but sometimes?

Anyways... time for an update, I guess. Actually, it's past time for an update... but oh well.
Today is Friday, YAY! I got an A on my rhythm counting thingy in Music Theory this morning... which was good, 'cause it was very difficult. 5/8.. fun.
I performed in my first college-level recital yesterday. It was an "Honors Piano" recital during our weekly recital hour class/forum/thingy/etc (no credit, bleh). Anyway, the piece I performed was "Three Preludes" by Kent Kennan. It's a twentieth century piece with all kinds of strange rhythms and dissonances and stuff. Tons of fun, but incredibly difficult. One of the other guys who performed at the recital said that it was "a kick-@ss piece" and a guy from my theory class said that I "played the sh*t out of the piano". I guess that's a good thing.
Presently, I am sitting in the library on campus wasting time until 2:30, when (I think) I am going to meet with the person I am tutoring in piano. I think I'm about to go do an assignment for Music Literature... it requires wandering around through the library. Fun fun.
Catherine started seminary this semester, which is cool... that means I get to see her on Wednesday evenings.
She also started working, which is not cool... that means I don't get to see her 'til about 9:00 or 10:00 on Friday nights.
I guess that's all for now.
In His love,
Nate

| Nate, I am bored so I have been musing. I have decided that you are the coolest super mod for the following reasons:
1) You are a super-nice guy
2) You are a guy.
3) (this is the most important one) You don't use invisible mode. I am sorry but that makes you dead sexy in my eyes.
Kudos to you man. This is a halfway serious, and halfway kidding post. The gist of it is serious, me calling you dead sexy was a joke. |
