| I'm a history major in my sophomore year of school... my favorite subject is American history although I do like to read up on things like ancient Roman and Greek stuff too.
However... my REAL focus lately has been studying World War II... and more specifically the Infantry Divisions in the European Theater of Operations from June 1944 (D-Day) through the end of the war in 45. I'm a living historian/reenactor of a basic US foot infantry impression and we do public displays as well as private battles (just to get that... "experience"). Its an expensive hobby... kind of a "pay to play" kind of thing...but its well worth it...especially when vets THANK me (yeah...its weird)

| While not a History major, I am a major History buff.
I really enjoy WWI and WWII, the American Civil war is pretty cool too, The Southeastern Asian history is facinating (I was born in South Korea but adopted when I was like 6 months) so I've been facinated by that part of the world. Israeli history is cool too (especially the parts after the Belfour agreement, and 6 day war parts) But recently, I've been getting into Russian History, from the Neopoltian wars to WWI. Tolystoy, Dostenosky, and Sholiznehin are GREAT! |

| I'm working on a History minor right now. I'm really into military history, although it's a hard to find classes on the subject where I go to school. Right now I'm taking a WWII class that's pretty interesting.
I think that Russian history is pretty interesting too. I've got a few classes next year that cover the whole of it, so that should be interesting. |

| I'm not a history major but have a great interest in history. The following are the periods that interest me the most... in no particular order.
Medieval Europe
The Roman Empire (from Alexander the Great backwards)
Ancient Egypt
Any military history, American or otherwise
Incidentally, The History Channel is my favorite of all channels on TV and we actually got satellite TV just for that channel! |

My only complaint with the History Channel is that they seem to go off on the same subjects, or go too much into modern stuff that other channels cover anyway(i.e. I sure get sick of modern marvels)...also, the latest showing of UFO shows on saturday sure does ruin my half hour breaks at work... |

| My major in college was history, unfortunately I did not quite finish it. So I guess now that makes me a History buff.
My favorite period of history by far is the Medieval Age, particularly England and Scotland.
After that would be ancient Rome and then Greece. |
