One of my interests has been photography and some of photographs have been awesome! I would post them ,but Idon't have a scanner. Anyways, my qiestion is should I pursue photography more and look into it as a career choice? please help!

I would reccomend checking around for some photography classes. Usually, there is some professional photographer that teaches a few courses a year at a college nearby just about everyone, and those can be very helpful in letting you figure out whether or not you want to pursue that as a career path or not.

Edit: I just realized that there is a career forum where the real pros could help you out a lot more than I can. So, this thread is... spirited away! Hahaha. I'm priceless. No. Really. I am.

Well I recommend seeing if you like it first. Get some experience by taking some elective courses and maybe job shadowing some pros. It's hard getting experience and deciding if you would like it as a career but give it a shot and never give up until your happy. As for lookign at it as a career choice, I think we already answered this. Why not!?!?!? Go have fun and try to make some money while your at it.

I would once agoin have to agree with Sax. I would take general courses and take some electives to find out if you are interested...

I think I'll take your guys' advice. I'll take some courses in it, see if I have skill and passion for it and then go for it! thanks all!

My best friend spent a year at college in a photography course.. right now she is back at college in another program with me.. there was not much of a market for photographers.. the area is pretty well covered and with all her student loans she could not afford a studio. The only thing that she does is wedding and such for close friends.. and she charges them not very much because they are friends. I am not discouraging you at all, I am just saying you should think about it before you go into it. If it is something that you are really passionate about then I say go for it! Good luck with whatever you decide.

Peace,
Rhonda.
