Football

Hey, I need to know I can I run people over on the field. I play fullback, and I want to strike fear into the linebackers, before the ball is even snapped. What are the main things I should do to give me the possibility to "lay out" bigger players? My bench is 215, squat is about 350.

Thanks

I would say that if the player is WAY bigger than you, get him at the knees...don't let go...even if you don't knock hin over, he's tied up....someone from your team will finish the job....but it knocks them down about 75% of the time...and they usually land on their tailbone....that'll slow 'em down for a while....if they land hard enough....

How much do you power clean? The key to laying people out is explosiveness. The key to explosiveness is power ceans.

The best way to strike fear into linebackers is yelling giberish at them.

peace out

i don't really do that....on account that, while i'm 6', i'm only 155 lbs.....so i'm too scrany to "lay out" people....but i've had a few good tackles....

You don't really need to be big and strong to lay people out. I know 5'6 person who weighs 120... he's always making hits that make the other team not want to play anymore.

If you can get low enough and use good form, you can easily lay people out.

peace out

Re: Football

Just have confidence. i play foot ball im 6' and 215 pounds i can leg press 400 pounds and bench 209. Just aim for the legs to get the linbacker. I know when i was playing foot ball once there was htis one kid hes older than me but he still grabbed onto my legs when i was running the ball and it slowed me down but not by much. But so the others could tackle me.
