| Favorite Mike Patton band? I've been on a Faith No More kick so I thought I'd start my very first Secular music thread.... nervous....
Does anyone have a favorite Mike Patton band? I'm torn right now between Mr. Bungle and Faith No More. There are others, too. Like Tomahawk, which I also really like but haven't heard enough of. What else is there and what is your favorite? |

| I would say that my favorite Mike Patton album is Faith No More's The Real Thing, but my favorite band of his would be Mr. Bungle.

| My favourite current Patton band are Tomahawk. Overall, it would be FNM probably though. Then Fantomas and Mr Bungle would be tied. Fantomas have one great album and two half decent ones. Mr Bungle have 3 great albums, but I find myself much more easily bored by them.
I probably listen to Fantomas the most though. Wow... |

| I've been wanting to get into the Fantomas, any album suggestions? I really like the EP Patton did with the Dillinger Escape Plan. Other than that, Mr.Bungle and Faith No More are probably my two favorite things that he did.

Faith No More goes down as my favorite. I remember watching their videos on MTV2 when I was in 9th grade and thinking, "Man, these guys are awesome."

-Kenny | The Directors Cut is the easiest to get into first, but the self titled is by far the best. I suggest listening to a few tracks off Directors Cut, such as "The Godfather", "Rosemary's Baby" and "Henry: Portrait of a Serial Killer".
and then get the self titled. Listen to "Delirium Cordia" sometime, see if a friend or libarary has it. It's got awesome art (though pretty disturbing) and it's great twice. Boring after that though. |
