Basically I'll quickly sum up what I said.
I'm a nut, I basically didn't like your band last night, but today I'm digging it. That happens. Like the time when I didn't like Coheed & Cambria because of Claudio Sanchez, but now I wish I could emulate his style...yah see? So there you go.
As for songs, I like the many different parts, it was just a couple songs that I didn't like is all. The new songs are really working for me though I have to say. I think I started listening to the older stuff first.
Yah also I had no clue that Drive was live, I'm just blind like that.
Simpleplan...I think your old songs are where you sounded more like their vocalist. And I apologize for the way I made it seem like it was a bad thing, cuz it's not & wow stupid of me to say it makes someone sound like a child. That was lame. Moving on. My voice isn't even half as good as yours, you're really very good.
Ok that's all I have to say right now I guess, maybe if I can get my band chaos straightened out someday we could play together...same style of music really. ^^ | Hey, someone pointed out to me that you weren't comparing our whole band to Simple Plan, just my singing. I guess I read into things. I can see how I sound like Pierre, alot of pop punk guys essentially sound the same. I really wasn't mad or anything about what you said. I can just come off as overbearing sometimes, sorry. Man, I was going to say something else too, but I'm really tired and can't remember. I saw your band's thread and site, I'm going to check you guys out tomorrow. I see you list Yellowcard as an influenece! \m/ Jacksonville rock, baby! YC, Thrice, and Midtown no less, some of my favorite bands. Ok, that's it, now I'm rambling. |

ArmsBendBack
Brand New
Dream Theater
Faith No More
NameTaken
NickelCreek
No Doubt
P.O.D.
Republica
Spineshank
Sum41
Taken
The Cure
ThreeDaysGrace
There's even more than that but basically I just like alot of music, different styles, different instruments appeal to me and generally anything that I find striking. If I listen to music I like it when it stands out & I can remember it later in my head. Unless it's the annoying type of memory...you know, the song you can't get out of your head but wish you could. I think there's something to be said for that too in way, subconciously liking something about a song you claim to hate. Heh. ^^ Nobody wants to admit that, but why else would you remember it right?
My band is missing members right now, I'm not really sure what to do about it either since our drummer moved away & the guy who was jamming on bass lost interest and has to start thinking about school. Not looking good...

| Yo, John! The show was fun! Even though the kids sat down, kind of odd. I didn't know what to do. But you guys brought the rock man! Thank you for telling me about it and stuff. I am glad I went. |

| Yes, the concert kicked major heiney. You guys were freaking awesome. "Drive" was infinitely more impressive live than recorded. Maybe it just needs a better quality recording. And the show in general was just really, really good. Tim was right on target with the leads (though I couldn't hear his guitar very well), Johnmark was really tight with the rhythm, the vocals never wandered off key...and I shan't compliment the drummer, because he was too lame to hang out with us. And I, unlike most of the rest of you, apparently, really enjoyed Fish Pocket. I only wish they had a website, or demo CDs, or something.... In any event, I got the guitarist's AIM screen name from Ted. I shall be contacting him next time I get the opportunity. |

| Okay, I'm back.
Five Minute Walk Plan is a great band. I think you have a shot. Fo rizzle. You were the only band worth watching. Excecpt Fish Pocket. But you were better than them. Except the bass player. He's better than you. His hair is gross, though. Yours is not as gross. |

| We've been eyeing the Last Wave Club ourselves. Looks like a fat little giglet (that's a good thing).

| We're still alive and kicking. Our song The Cycle is going to be on an upcoming compilation CD entitled East Coast Vs. The World. You can check it out here.
We're also in the process of recording our second full length album, Familiarity Breeds Contempt, which should be released in the next few months (possibly March). The cover art (which was designed by the lovely Rakel) is finished and it looks a little something like this:
Here's a little sample of what it's going to sound like. This is Downfall without vocals and also without all the guitars, but it'll give an idea of what our new CD is going to be like sound wise: New Downfall |

| just listened to your stuff on purevolume. i enjoy it.
the vocals were a little rough in one part on the circle, and i'm not done listening to the other two (green day's boulevard of broken dreams got in the way )
keep goin with this! you guys sound professional, and that is definitely a good thing.
