I like the differing parts and the one-time musical deviations. That has a songwriting feel akin to early Saves the Day, when they'd write more songs without verses or choruses. | When I was writing this song, I wanted to mix it up a bit. We're trying to break out of the mold as far as song structure goes. I started it out with a regular muted first verse, which has a sort of "down" dynamic to it. I decided to break it down in the chorus instead of building up like always. Then, I wanted to take it even further down in the second verse with the clean parts before finally rocking in the second chorus. The key change at the end is also something we've never done before.
After listening to our last CD for awhile, I decided that they were good songs that I liked and sounded good; but that they sounded good because they mostly did what you expected. If we can take a good song like that and do something more interesting with the structure, I think we're going to be alot better band.
Thanks for the feedback, guys . |

though the vocals seem to be too soft in my opinion in all of your clips. but that might just be me/computer.

| Uh, we're all over 21. I don't know about the vocals thing, nobody else has complained about them, maybe it is your comp; but anyway thanks for saying we sound great. |

Rest assured though, I got it and will definitely ship it soon.
The other thing is that if you know some places around where you live that we can play at, let me know. We need to get out of state. We're also trying to get up to Jacksonville and stuff, so maybe you can come to that if it's not too far from you. |

| Ah, ok. haha. I'm starting to get used to them, but I still think it would be better if they were a little less... nasal, perhaps? I really do love the music, though.

I really do love the music, though. | Yeah, well on one hand it's like, welcome to pop punk. The first time I heard Chris Conley, I thought "man this guy's voice is really annoying and not very good," but over time, I grew to love it alot. He changed the way he sings on In Reverie to be less nasally I guess, and I don't like it as much. I sound like alot of singers in this genre.
On the other hand, I'm trying to be a better singer and more diverse: http://www.christianguitar.org/forum...ad.php?t=79678 |

| Yeah, in that case, it's "welcome to why I hate pop punk." I don't know, I got a comment the other day about me "having a good voice for punk". It was meant as a compliment, but it actually sort of brought me down a bit, haha.
I'm glad you're trying to branch out. I wish I could give you some advice for doing that, but I really am not a vocal maestro at all myself. So I probably should have kept my mouth shut (or my fingers still ) in the first place, huh?
Anyway.

| The last song wouldn't work for me, but you guys are cool!! "Cycle" caught my attention from the very start! My only suggestion is to make the vocals a little more distinct and not so close to the same volume as the other instruments. But Five Minute Plan has talent! |
