Hey guys, if you want ticket(s) to the show on the 11th, you need to buy them as soon as possible via paypal. I'm going to have so many things to do the day of the show, I'm not going to be able to take care of ticket sales, plus, I need to give the money to the promoter the day before the show. Go to fiveminuteplan.com and click on the Buy Now button. The extra dollar is to cover mailing the ticket and paypal fees.

| Stuff going on, lots of stuff going on.
First, I want to say thanks to everybody who has been checking out our site, even if you haven't posted. We've been getting a lot of page hits from here this month. You Aren't Here has been getting a ton of plays on Soundclick, too. It has quickly become our second most-downloaded track, behind The Cycle, and it's poised to surpass that very soon. That's kind of crazy, considering the fact that The Cycle has been up for almost two years, while You Aren't Here was just put up three months ago.
We're on the verge of completion of our new full length. Seriously, it's very close. Almost all the tracks are recorded, and mixing is well on its way. It's taken almost a year, but such is life.
We're also still recording new material with our new drummer. We have about six new songs written. One is You Aren't Here, and two others (How to Increase the Speed of Light and The Reason You Believe) are about 90% recorded currently. It looks like we'll be putting out another EP shortly. Prepare for something different, that's all I can say. Some of this stuff is turning out very progressive. I don't know how to describe it, it's riffier than ever with some time signature changes, and MUCH better guitar work (which was already our strong suit). Some of it is poppier than ever, so go figure. I'll post when we get something up. The whole EP will probably be up on Soundclick, as we've done in the past.
In other news, we're working on a music video, and we're playing live on air at WPRK 91.5 on September 3rd at 5pm. If you're in the area, tune in, we're going to be playing new stuff.

| YES! I am looking forward to the new full-length, and the new, more progressive stuff. I love time signature changes (which are one of the many things that Before Braille is really good at).

They can be hard to incorporate, and there are a lot of instances where I don't like them. My favorite use of it is when you don't really know that a piece has changed signature. At first you might just think "hmm, something seems different here." I also have a hard time getting into bands that are constantly fluctuating time wise, like Tool and Dillinger Escape Plan. Of course, Dave Brubeck Quartet is one of my favorite musical groups ever, so go figure.
Anyway, I thought I'd post on here that WPRK has online streaming. If you so desire, go to their site and click on "LISTEN ONLINE," in the top right corner on September 3rd at 5pm. We'll be playing new stuff. Oh yeah, I should mention that we might not be playing it. I mean, I got an e-mail saying that we were on for that time, but I haven't been able to get in contact with anyone to find out when to show up, where to show up, etc. I'll post if we're not doing it.
Also, To make this post more interesting, I'll give you some cool music to listen to! In case you were wondering, the answer is YES, I AM awesome like that. I thought this thing was really cool, and I didn't know if anyone would ever hear it, so I figured I'd post it on here. Who knows, maybe it'll end up on our CD somehow.

| Wow, sounds vaguely like Sufjan Stevens at the beginning.

If you don't know it by the title; you'd probably know it if you heard it. It was on Chessmaster video games and Infiniti car commercials, haha. Anyway, they experimented a lot with time signatures, something which wasn't really done in jazz. Incidently, Bebop era jazz was the first music I remember hearing. My dad always used to play that stuff; he hated rock music and didn't want me listening to it. I guess that didn't work... Quote: |

Tim recorded it, and I want to do more with it, like bring some drums in with the distorted guitar and have a lead, then bring it down again with the harmonies, then...Well, I've got a lot of ideas for it, let's just say that. I'm thinking it's probably secret track material. |

| Well, we played live on the radio for the first time ever tonight. Thanks to everyone that tuned in. We recorded it, and hopefully we can get something up from it shortly. I'd say we were pretty decent, definitely not perfect; but decent. There were a few issues that kind of threw things off, mostly nerves, partly the fact that we had very poor monitoring in the studio. It was hard to hear ourselves singing or talking or...anything, for that matter. One of the studio guys came in and set up a monitor after awhile, which caused some feedback, which threw us off; but we rolled with it.
The main trouble I had was with finding out exactly how many songs we could play, or how long we could go for. We had a set ready, with transitions between songs and so forth, which was about 35 minutes long. The problem was that right before we were about to play, we were told our time was cut to 15 or 20 minutes. That was fine, we just weren't afforded any time to write up a set list or even talk about what songs we were going to play and which we were going to cut. This forced us to work it all out during our set, but once again, we rolled with it. I think we did pretty well, in 19:26, there was only about one and a half minutes total where we weren't playing music. I don't think anyone could have room to complain about that.
All in all, it was definitely a learning experience.

| Man I wish that I could have listened... I adore you guys...
Man I can't imagine how hard it must have been to have something planned out and then have to change it up while you are playing... crazy.

I like to know what we're going to do and when we're going to do it most of the time. Quote: |

We were on the radio again tonight, actually. We went to a Godsquadradio show over in Titusville. We're going to be on there on the 18th of this month, and we wanted to meet the guys who run the show (plus watch A Denver Mile). They immediately asked Tim and I to do an impromptu interview. I had no idea what they were going to ask us or what we were going to say, but it went pretty well, nonetheless. We've never really been interviewed before like that, either, so we didn't even have any canned answers.
Thanks to Danny and Rakel for waiting out in the muggy, mosquito-infested Florida night for us to get done as well. They're the best. Fun was had at the IHOP afterwards, and hey, being in the sexy presence of Mr. Timothy G. Sledd alone is enough to justify contracting the West Nile Virus. |

| Check out our myspace, we've got new songs up there from our upcoming album. The final mixes of Two Weeks Notice and Drive are available for download, and they're sounding a lot better mixed, believe me. There are also two other songs, 37 and What I'll Never Be that you can stream. |
