WEBN recently had the opportunity to host METALLICA in Cin City. So, they chose a listener at random to interview Lars from Metallica. The contest was called "MISSION TO LARS".

The listener was instructed to compile questions to ask Lars. He turned his questions into the DJ (the DJ then did a "re-write when needed: "Cliff RAWKS!!!!!" became "Explain The Influence Of Cliff Burton", etc.)

Anyway, the station placed this lucky listener in front of Lars with recorder running. HE DID A KILLER JOB!

As most of you know, I have always been back and forth regarding my opinion of Lars. After this interview, though, I have to say I'm a fan again.

Lars is very gracious and friendly. This ties in well with Rebeard's review of the recent Metallica show in NC - it seems like Lars is a changed and happier man.
