Amp

i just recently purchased a Fender Ultimate Chorus from a friend of mine... basically brand new, hadn't been used hardly at all.. for $250.. i saw in a local music store that it was selling for about 800 but thats beside the point.. about a month into using it.. out of nowhere it starts frying really bad every time i play.. i guess i blew the amp or something? i dunno.. is it expensive to fix? and also im looking to get a better amp than that.. for around $3-400... any suggestions?

Edit: Sorry, posted this in guitar.. should have been in Amps and Accessories

Sounds like it might be a tube problem... or does it even have tubes? I'm not familiar with that model, but if it has tubes, that's where I'd start.

It could also be that maybe some one spilled something on it and it got into the amp at your freinds house. It sould be any thing, liquid, powder, or solid. Ir it is in there it is being fried like it is on a grill. There could also be a lot of other stuff that could be causing it.

I don't know what the amp problem is but I suggest you buy this amp

The Ultimate Chorus is Solid State and has a reputation of Amazing Cleans and - the Inputs being not soldered of great quality. Those are most likely your problem. Take the ampm to a guitar store and ask for their amp techinician to check it out. Shouldn't cost you much at all.
