Combos with cab

I've heard that its not good to put a tube combo on top of a cab.
Is this true?

It does not matter one bit. I am getting ready to build a 2x12 extension cab for my classic 50/212.

Its bad for your ears 'cause it is now aimed right at them!

Probably what you heard was in reference to an impedance mismatch. As long as you have not exceeded the mfr's specs, it will be fine. Wear ear protection.
