I consider myself a "hardcore" Libertarian.

Previous posts in this thread have painted the LP as a party without moral leadership. What one needs to keep in mind is that religion has no monopoly of morality. Morality and religion are each seperate and distinct functions of philosophy. Based on each party's platform, the Libertarian Party is the most moral among them, because their entire platform rests on the single moral principle of non-intervention.

The only significant differences in platform between the LP and the Constitution Party are their stances on immigration, abortion, and "decency" as it applies to free speech (as if only "decent" speech is protected, and as if the state has the authority of determining what is "decent").

I'll be happy to answer any of your questions. You can view the Libertarian Party's official platform here: http://lp.org/issues/platform/preamble.html#toc

Morality is inseparably linked to religion. Our theology is the foundation for everything, including our morality.

The "foundation of everything" is ethics, the central branch of philosophy. You believe in Christianity because you believe that system to be moral. The converse of that statement is not true.

The "religion" in the system of Christianity is not based upon morals, but upon faith. The morality in the system of Christianity (i.e. tooth for tooth, charity, stealing is wrong, etc.) is based on ethics.
