"Fillup just hit the nail on the head! Unlike most of you here I don't believe in a literal six day Creation or a young earth. I'm not liberal, I'm actually very conservative. I just don't see how so many thousands of people could be so off for so many years. But I won't turn this into another Creationism vs. Evolutionism debate, 'cause I'm not an evolutionist either. I thik all of ya'll are wrong."

Why dont you believe in a literal six days???? after all the Bible is the literal word of God. Oh also If God created verything in millions of years and he did it through evolution, then why si there zero proof of your belief. There is a lot more proof of 6-day creation than theistic evolution. Besides theistic evolution is not Biblical, its a compromise between Creatonism and Evolutionism.

ok, that still didn't work! Let me try one more time, after this I'm quitting!
Oh, I believe in 6 day creation and that dinosaurs lived on earth at the same time as us! It is possible, however, for the dino's to have lived in other places than us! Or for me to be wrong.....

Could it just not be a fictional character? Does everything have to be taken literally?

Do you think Jesus was a literal vine or a literal door? Not everything is to be taken literally. The Bible is not always the LITERAL word of God. If that's what you think, you need to do some seriuos examination of what you believe. What do I believe you ask? I'm not exactly sure of that myself, but I do know this, neither theory is corrrect. Yes Creationism is a theory, whether you choose to believe it or not. Evolutionism has a LOT of flaws too. I think this is just a very trivial matter that's not going to change anything anyway. The point of the Creation story was not how and when God created, but the fact that God created.
My 2c and then some,
Peace

I think evolution is a pretty screwball theory, but I think you people that believe that dinosaurs and humans coexisted are kinda weird too. Like I said, I'm just sort of in between. I believe some aspects of Creationism and some of evolutionism, but I don't totally accept either. Despite the fact that it's trivial.

cowboy,
why are we wacky????? What was the dinosaur to ferocious and deadly for us? You seem to forget that Noah took animals (icluding dinosaurs) on the ark with him. And when God created animals the world was perfect. Dinosaurs werent mean and ferocious.

P.S. Jesus was the Literal door. No he wasnt a wooden door. But he is the door to get to heaven for through him and only him we can get to heaven. So in a way he is a literal door.

Yeah, the whole "tail like a cedar" thing seems to point more to a dino then a hippo.
Besides, wasn't God referring to the extremes of the animal world? A hippo is hardly a ferocious beast compared to Leviathan!

And, BTW, evolutionists don't believe dinos and humans lived together. That's something i, and most creationists i know, believe.

I will quote Luke: "A thiestic evolutionist is a Christian with no backbone."

Well said.

everything was created in 6 days.. the bible doesn't joke around... if it's in there it's true... so, unless the dinosaurs died in one day they would've coexisted with man
