But the premise of this idea is not that children are not intelligent enough to understand the plot of teletubbies by age 2, it's that the actual viewing of the TV screen under the age of two, can actually inhibit the brain from growing to it's capacity (again this is just textbook) But, in my opinion, there is no need for a child to be watching TV under 2 anyway, just because they can't understand what is going on. In my opinion, there are some aspects to video games that stimulate the brain more than TV, and thus, more productive than just watching TV. Young children still shouldn't be using them.

| Not being a parent, but seeing what my Father and Mother have done to myself and my 6 younger sisters. They banned anything that;
1) Led to a disrespectful attitude
2) Went against the Bible
3)Took up so much of our time that we did nothing else (This usually was just limited, depending on what it was.)
4)Was immoral
5) This was the grey area. Example, I can watch certain shows because I am 15, however my 12 year old sister cannot. Same for her and the 10 year old. etc.
6) And anything they just felt uncomfortable with, and didn't want us to be around. |

I have seen PG movies I would never allow my own children to see, nor would I want my little sisters watching. |
