Been there; done that.

I know. For long decades I was a seeker.

I am Home in the Anglican corral because they remind me of what is good in myself and what is good about God.

Anglicans let me think my own thoughts yet they are not timid about Bible study.

Anglicans range from the Cursillo Movement, to politically active, to quiet and contemplative [up to and including the complacent and indolent]. But then again, there are sheep and goats everywhere.

There is even an Anglican Convent and serious retreats on a regular schedule.

I've been to a lot of other places; I'm also a Cherokee with tribal interests; a webmaster with political interests; and a parent with concerns for the future.

And the Anglicans are in turmoil at this moment. And my expectation was that I would see a lot of that ferment here. I was clearly mistaken.

Oh well. That's the human condition.

Thanks for responding.

You seem to be under the impression that CGR somehow "ought" to be an Anglican website, or have more Anglicans, or something. CGR is Christian Guitar Resources, and you're posting in the General Discussion forum. In the Anglican/Episcopal forum, we get little traffic because there are not many Anglicans involved at CGR (Ridley's Own and I are the only Episcopalians who are currently very active). While CGR has over 55,000 members, we have very few Anglicans. Why? I have my ideas, but I'm keeping them to myself.

The reality is that the upheaval in the Anglican Communion does not affect the majority of Christians throughout the Internet-savvy world. While we have quite a few members who are from other parts of the world, the majority of our members are US citizens, and so it should be obvious that we would have more Baptists, Catholics, Pentecostals, Methodists, and non-denominationals than Episcopalians. Additionally, a large section of our active members are teenagers, and many of them don't know what the Episcopal Church is, much less are they up-to-date on the issues that face the Anglican Communion. Furthermore, for those of us who are Anglicans, we have talked about this so much over the last year and a half that there's just not much left to say.

Wink

Well I think one reason why you only know of 2 people is because not many people take time to post in that section.

hmm... complicated question...

well, my dad's a catholic and my mom's a presbyterian, so;
I sing in choir at Wayne Presbyterian Church twice a month,
I go to Mother of Divine Providence the rest of the time,
And I attend a youth group at Hope community church(nondenominational)

I was raised as a catholic, but much of catholic doctrine didn't make sense to me, so I'm currently nondenominational christian.
