| Keyboard Survey okay, i saw this on the Guitar page and Bass page and i think it's only fair that we get one too

Longest It Took You Learn A Song: about 3 days (and i still don't quite have the timing down...arrgg!!)
What Song Was It: A song a friend of mine wrote
Hardest Song to Play: The Happy Song (it a very cool song, but i feel like a complete dork playing it on keyboard!)
Favorite Song to Play: a toss up between Angels Fall Down by Skillet or Psalm 3 by Salvador (simply because i do the guitar part on keyboard just to get a good groan out of the guitarists)
Favorite Key to Play In: D, G, Am, Em
Least Favorite Key: B, E, C#
Transposer (yes or no): No! it throws me off and as a friend of mine would say "It's a crutch!" (yeah, my friend says this as he adjusts his capo...)
How Many Songs Have You Written: 6 so far
Do You Play In A Band: The Praise band at church and i join up with another local band when they need a keyboard player and ask me nicely
How Many Songs Can You Play: um, no the question is how many can i name in one post?
Can You Sing And Play: yep yep
Dream Keyboard: Korg Triton 88-key
Your Style: Rock, Folk (though i'm somewhat all-purpose when it comes to the praise team at church)
Biggest Influence: my family was a big influence (everyone plays some kind of instrument)

How Many Songs Can You Play: Umm.......I can play just about anything, worship-music-wise. My classical repetiore is much more limited.

Favorite Sound(s): Rhodes and Wurlitzer... especially with tremolo.
Longest It Took You Learn A Song: Learn a song well? Probably about six months.
What Song Was It: Three Preludes for Piano by Kent Kennan. A twentieth-century piece of piano music that I learned last semester and played this semester for a recital.

Favorite Song to Play: Currently In Christ Alone by Stuart Townend. It's a beautiful song. I have too many favorite songs, though.

Transposer (yes or no): Sure, when it is helpful. Often, I will learn a song well in one key and then find out that the key I learned it in is difficult for our congregation to sing to, so I'll put on the transposer on our Clavinova and just play as I'm used to playing.

Transposer (yes or no): Occasionally... I used it the other night during a worship service on a BSU trip... my music was in a different key from the guitar player's, so I transposed to his key so I wouldn't have to think about it and just continue to play my arrangement

Do You Play In A Band: The Praise band at church... well, I play bass most of the time, but for the first 2 years there I played keyboard... I play some keyboard in our chapel band and in the Baptist Student Union

Years Playing: I once took lessons when I was 7. I then quit after a month of learning. My older sister is a very avid pianist, having played for at least 15+ years. I picked up a bit from her. But recently, in the past 4 months or so, I re-discovered piano playing. Picked it up from my own knowledge of theory and guitar playing.

Least favorite key: C-sharp...for some reason, this key is hard!
