REDO, Changed my mind.

Name: Ted

Age:15

Years Playing: 1.33333 (1 year four months :P)

Current Bass: Cort Curbow 6 string, with US Barts

Amp: Ampeg SVT 350h with 810e cab.

Effects: As of a few days ago I've lost my tase for effects. Almost all dist and fuzz pedals cut out wayyy too much bass for my liking, and pure bass just sounds better.

Longest It Took You Learn A Song: I don't usually sit around and learn songs. My playing is based off of being able to lay down my own stuff, not play other's.

What Song Was It: NA.

Funnest Song To Play: Right now I'm digging Vitamin by Incubus. Not really a hard song by any stretch of the mind, but it's fun.

How Many Songs Have You Written: Lots of verses, melodies, choruses, lyrics, but never linked any up into a song.

Do You Play In A Band: Not yet. I'm having trouble finding people I want to work with. I could join a secular band, but I really would rather my bandmates be christian. Quite frankly there aren't that many good Christian musicians here... So that's the dilemma.

How Many Songs Can You Play: Once again, I don't really like playing people's stuff note for note most of the time. I like to take my own artistic liberties and change things up to make it more me.

Can You Sing And Play: Nope... I used to want to try, but now I just want to be able to be solely dedicated to playing bass .

Gauge Of Strings You Play: Powerslinkies on my 4, and mediums on my 6.

Gauge Of Picks You Like: Whatever guage my fingers are.

Dream Bass: I love my current bass. I'd like to get another 4 though. I'm thinking a natural stringray.

Your Style: My style is playing the root rhythmically, maybe jump octaves or fifths, then walk between chord changes. I like holding the groove.

Biggest Influence: Currently, Dirk Lance from early Incubus, Paz Lenchantin from early APC and Zwan, Melissa Auf Der Maur from very late Smashing Pumpkins, and a little Joe Loeffler from Chevelle.

How Many Songs Have You Written: 20+

How Many Songs Can You Play: too many to count

Can You Sing And Play: I can, I don't if I don't have to

Years Playing: 10

Current Guitar: Ibeenhad SR406 fretless

Amp: Ashly preamp/samson power amp/cheezy pv cab

Effects: right now? Symtrix CL-150 compressor

Longest It Took You Learn A Song: There are songs I've worked on for years to try to "perfect."

How Many Songs Can You Play: Give me time, and I can play most anything.

Can You Sing And Play: I don't like to...but yes, it's possible (though highly annoying).

Gauge Of Strings You Play: Light as possible. Let the amp do the work (except on the precision...huge flats there).

Gauge Of Picks You Like: Kinda big ones...but not too thick...I'll just use whatever I can find for the rare occassion I deem a pick is needed.

Dream Bass: One that works. Don't really care what I play, though I've developed a taste for passive electronics and larger necks.

Your Style: Whatever. Really. Don't really have a style of my own.

Biggest Influence: Big Tony Levin fan. Like groove players. I'd say I try to be influenced/inspired by everyone I hear. From Edgar Meyer to guy down the street just starting out.
