that survey thing on bass

Name: Timothy (oh by the way i live in china, that's why i'm so weird)

Age:16 next month

Years Playing: i've had a bass for like two and a half years, i've played bass for about a year (sad ain't it, all that time i coulda been playin)

Current Guitar: this second hand one i picked up for like cheap from a dude i know here, black, a pretty short neck, shorter than average, i love it

Amp: a chinese one, small i think it's just 30watts or something like that but for jammin at home it works

Effects: i'm clueless with this stuff

Longest It Took You Learn A Song: that i had never played before and really seriously tried to learn? actually i haven't done that many songs, mostly worship or the ones i write, but one day i figured out the chords for phenomenon by thousand foot krutch and so yeah maybe an hour and a half for that one...

What Song Was It: phenomenon, awesome song!

Funnest Song To Play: glory (seriously, put a tight, tight bass line in it and it's SWEET) and then oh man what's the name of it? dang it, i see the chords right now...crap i forget it...the verse is E's and B's then the chorus is A's and B's but the bridge is tight with like C#m's and stuff...very fun

How Many Songs Have You Written: i write mostly rap songs, so rap songs i've written 5 or 6 i forget, non rap, like singing, i think 2.

Do You Play In A Band: nah, me and my bro jam, but we don't have a drummer, and he's leavin for college this fall.

How Many Songs Can You Play: tons, mostly worship, if you give me the chords i can play them, and i can read tabs too but that takes a little more time

Can You Sing And Play: um....i've rapped and played at the same time...seriously...if i sang...the windows would break sometimes...if the song's in my range

Gauge Of Picks You Like: i play with my fingers unless they break from playin too hard, then i like thicker picks, like around 1.1 millimeter thick ones, something like that

Dream Bass: i dont' really know any bass companies or whatever...i think prolly like a brown wooden one...it don't matter as long as it's got SWEET sound

Your Style: i play worship songs...my fave is like oldies style going up and down the frets, punk rock, different moods different styles.

Biggest Influence: Tony (dunno his last name) from supertones 'cause he's incredible on his instrument, him mainly, phil joel, reliant k, thousand foot krutch, and the drive inside to be good.

Please don't limit yourself to only Christian music. Quite frankly, most christian bassists aren't that good. Some are ok, but do yourself a favor and listen to some jazz, or funk.

Well that narrows it down to... every worship song ever written in E.
