Tolkien's other works - SoWM, FGoH, AoTB, and SGatGK

I wanted to start this thread to find out how everyone feels about Smith of Wooten Major (SoWM), Farmer Giles of Ham (FGoH), the Adventures of Tom Bombadil (AoTB), and Sir Gawain and the Green Knight (SGatGK).

I prefer to read SoWM and FGoH the most out of the four, although AoTB is really interesting. SGatGK is alright, though it is a translation he did.

PEACE.
WILLIAM.

(P.S. How do you like the abbreviations.)

2>Farmer Giles of Ham
3>Sir Gawain and the Green Knight
4>Adventures of Tom Bombadil

I've haven't read SGatGN or AoTB the whole way yet, but I still pefer SoWM more than any of the others. Except for Leaf by Niggle. I almost forgot about that one. Very good book.

I need to find Leaf by Niggle. I've heard it's good, but haven't read it yet.

Smith of Wooten Major and Farmer Giles of Ham were alright. Not really my thing, but good none the less. Adventures of Tom Bombadil was also good, but not quite up my alley. (I hate poetry or "verse.")

I haven't read SGatGK yet.

Tom Bombadil was fun Didn't make it very far into the Green Knight. Farmer Giles was cute, but not up my alley either.

Leaf by Niggle was weird. I was able to read the whole thing but I didn't get what it was all about. Personally it seemed like it was written by someone one drugs

The Green Knight is an excellent story, no matter who translated it. I seem to remember that they made it into a low-budget fantasy starring Sean Connery a couple of decades back.

I liked Farmer Giles of Ham.
Smith of Wooten Major was good as well.

I don't think I have read many others.
