This forum is intended to help those that are blogging at the blogs.christianguitar.org address using MovableType. If you would like to get a free blogging account on there, you simply need to have an existing CGR journal that is at least three pages in length (legitmate posts and responses - we'll be the judge of that). If you have at least three pages worth, then post a new thread in the user maintenance forum. Be sure to include what you'd like the URL of your blog to be (blogs.christianguitar.org/title).

Also, please note that all accounts must follow the rules set forth in this document. It's not much, but it is important. Also that file is where you can get basic instructions on how to get started. For questions beyond the scope of that document, please post your questions in here as new threads.

If you have any other basic questions about all of this, please respond in this thread. Again, for any technical questions about this, please create a new thread.

Just a suggestion, but wouldn't this make a really good paid member thing?
Or you can do extra stuff with it?

When I enter my username and password it says It's invalid. So I tried logging out of CGR and logging back in to make sure I didn't just forget it and it worked fine.

I thought about that, but I'm really more concerned about just finding people that will actually use it - paid or not.

Right, because you're not signed up for a blog. If you'd like one, post a request in the UMR forum and we'll get you set-up.

Is this going to be modded by the current journel/blog mods..? Or..?

If it's going to be a seperate job, i would be really interested in helping mod this. Seeing as i have been the blog/journel mod for a while, i really enjoy this spot.

The blogs themselves will be self-moderated. I would hope that the blogger wouldn't post anything inappropriate, and they have control over editing/deleting comments as necessary.

If you come across a blog in which the blogger is not posting appropriately, please let me know and I'll take care of it.

Will posts in these blogs count towards a user's post count.?

Not really. Here are the rules.

Nope. It's a completely separate system.

that you not post anything profane or ant-Christian in your blog.
