Envy

I saw the TV spot for the first time yesterday. Jack black and Ben Stiller. This movie looks to me like it has a massive load of potential. Any thoughts?

Looks pretty funny. I liked Ben Stiller even before "Reality Bites", and I liked Jack Black even before "Tenacious D"

*takes moment to glean in own movie snobbery*

Maybe we should all see it together opening night. Here's some info:

Envy (2004)
Tim (Ben Stiller) and Nick (Jack Black) are best friends, neighbors and co-workers, whose equal footing is suddenly tripped up when one of Nick's harebrained get-rich-quick schemes actually succeeds: Vapoorizer, a spray that literally makes dog poop evaporate into thin air - to where exactly is anyone's guess. (it works on any other kind of poop too). Tim, who had poo-pooed Nick's idea and passed on an opportunity to get in on the deal, can only watch as Nick's fortune -and his own envy - grow to equally outrageous proportions. The flames of jealousy are fanned by an oddball drifter (Christopher Walken) who takes it upon himself to help fix Tim's situation, but only causes Tim's life to careen more wildly out of control ... and Nick's with it.

The film also stars Rachel Weisz ("About a Boy") and Amy Poehler (TV's "Saturday Night Live"), with Ving Rhames ("Mission: Impossible I & II") and Academy Award winner Christopher Walken ("The Deer Hunter," "Catch Me If You Can"). Directed by Academy Award winner Barry Levinson ("Rain Man").

I did not realize it had Christopher Walken. Throw him in and you have every ingredient for a movie that will be tasty for years to come.

No, it will be awesome because of Jack Black and Ben Stiller. Christopher Walken will make it near-perfect.

Come on, I could care less about those two bafoons. Walken is the only reason I'll see it.

I am feeling a desire to call you a cinematic idiot. I'll refrain, because I know you actually aren't.

That movie was incredibly pathetic. Two hours of my life I'll never get back...
