| list ya favourite ice breakers hey guys, just trying to find fun things to do at youth group for my small group.im always looked for craxy whacked ideas.......found these so far
Banana duel
Have everyone pair up and tie their left wrist together. Give each a banana to hold in their left hand. When you say "go", they peel the banana with only their right hand and try to push it in their partner's face/mouth. You may want to do this blindfolded to add excitement.
The Vegetable Game.
Get everyone into a circle and get them to choose a fruit or a vegtable that their names start with. Then you get a person in the centre with a newspaper baton. They will pick a name of someone and try to hit them with the baton before the person can say someone elses fruit or vegetable name. Example: Adam = Apple

| Supplies:
A tennis ball
Get everyone in a circle and have everyone give their names. Then you, henceforth referred to as person A, throw the ball to someone else, person B and say "person B (their name)." They catch it and say, "thank you, person A." Then they, person B, throw it to someone else (person C) and say "person C." Then person C catches it and says, "thank you, person B." The process continues until everyone has recieved the ball with the last person throwing it to you. Then you add a few more balls just for fun. Then you challenge them to do it as fast as possible (the solution of which is to dispense with the speaking and have everyone line up and roll the ball down their hands, that way everyone touches it in order ). Of course, you don't tell them the solution. By the end everyone should know everyone's name... everyone will get creative... and everyone will have fun.

| Find out where they're FROM:
F=Family. Find out how many kids they have in their family, ages, etc.
R=Recreation. What do they like to do for fun? Any sports or music, what's their favorite subject?
O=Occupation. Find out where they work, what do they do for a job?
M=Memories. See what you guys have in common, talk about memories relating to that. Etc.
Yeah, that's what our Youth pastor has been having the Ministry Team do to people we dont' know that well.

| At camp (where there are newer people that we don't all know) we play a game where everyone finds a partner. The parnters turn back to back and a leader counts to three. On three, the partners turn around and hold up fingers. The partner then tries to add (or multiply, which takes longer) fingers on the four hands. Whoever gets the correct answer first stays in the game and finds a new partner. (We have a lot of people, so we play that if you tie you're both out). Every partner does this at the same time, so people are eliminated every round. SO, by the time you get down to like 3 or 4 teams of partners, have them take turns and have everyone watch. Eventually there is a winner....
The one rule that we have is no "funny fingers." Like if you want two fingers, you have to hold up the "universal" form of two. You can decide on these.
I love lots more up my sleeve, but I'll post 'em later.
I LOVE the vegetable game, BTW.

| I've Never
Preperation: Creat a circle and have one seat short. Make sure everyone has a seat if you have couch's that you define how many people can sit on each couch (follow the 'musical chairs' idea).
Everyone sits in a circle and the one w/o a seat stands in the middle. He/she has to say something they've never done (example: I've never gone skiing, or I've never broken a bone). Then everyone who HAS done that must get up and find another seat. They cant, however, take the seat next to them (forces them to get up). And you basically just keep on going. Its a great game cause you get people up there who've done crazy things and you get to hear their story (like the guy who gets up to the "i've never worn makeup") and the whole time your switching seats so your getting to see everyone and get comfortable. Find someone who
Preperations: Make up a sheet of paper of descriptions like so:
Has never been on a plane ______________________
Can play a musical instrument___________________________
Has red shoes__________________________
Been to Texas____________________________
Basically your creating a list like that with all kinds of different things on it. You can even put stuff like "Find someone to play leap frog" or "Find someone to switch shoes with you".
So you hand out the sheet to everyone, give everyone pens/pencils, and explain the rules. They need to find someone who matches the description and have that person put their name down (you have the person put their name down for what description fits them so that your forced to go up to everyone and cant just cheat off your buddies paper). First one done wins. Or you can do first one w/ 15 out of 20 wins. Easy game and a real good icebreaker.
