It's called a presentation series. Yes it would be nice but Taylor doesn't sell them with electronics. For me that's a bad thing. I would never cut into a guitar like that to put a Fishman in. A 900 series would be nice. I'm thinkin' a 914ce. I've seen them on E-bay for $2,500. And if I wait long enough I might be able to go lower. There's like 10 Taylors I want right now! lol

See, I think that no electronics is a big plus...For example...Taylors are obviously a fine instrument...built to last a life time. Now, in 20 or 30 years when you still have your Taylor, why would you want an outdated hunk of plastic sticking out the side of your beautiful guitar. A well made, good sounding guitar will always be that...but todays top of the line in electronics and pickups...is tommorows junk. That is why when I custom ordered mine I specifically asked for no electronics. My intention is to put in an LR Baggs Ibeam (passive, i dont want a battery in my guitar either) and I will use that with an outboard preamp/DI like the Baggs Para acoustic DI. This is an unobstusive system that can be semi permantly mounted in my guitar and easily taken out when the next best thing arrives (and you know it will). In 30 years I will still have a killer acoustic...with up to date electronics if I still need them, and no huge whole in the side of my guitar.
Just my two cents.

Oh, by the way, the 410ce goes to ebay tommorow night if no one is interested, I have pics. Email if you think it is a possibility

I never thought about it that way. I'm 15 and have never really thought about what I'll be playing in 10 to 20 years. It's a good point. Maybe I'll just buy all ten Taylors I want and get half of them without electronics. lol

As for me, I buy my guitar for now. For what I want now. If I like it now, I will still like it years from now. Sure electronics may improve, but I can always upgrade. The Fishmans always fit in the same size hole so that you can just switch out the old model for the new model. But really when it gets down to it, it's all what you like, and being happy with what you have.

Amen!

As long as the Fishmans stay the same size I will probably be okay.
