EMI/CMG’s eminent rock band, Switchfoot, continues to seize mainstream radio as “Dare You To Move” becomes the No. 1 most-added song on Billboard’s Modern Rock Radio chart. With 22 adds this week alone, “Dare You To Move” surpassed all other new singles, including Godsmack’s “Running Blind,” the next most-added with 15. The song also jumps four places to No. 20 and climbing this week on the R & R Christian CHR Top 30 chart.

In addition to modern rock success, Switchfoot’s “Meant to Live” also maintains its current upward momentum on Billboard’s Top 40 chart. The song moves up three notches, from No. 36 to No. 33, and is garnering more airplay every week.

As Switchfoot’s critically-acclaimed 2003 release, The Beautiful Letdown, quickly approaches Platinum status after going Gold last November, the band is preparing to launch its headline tour with The Jealous Sound and Copeland later this month.

I just saw the Switchfoot concert last night in San Francisco at the Fillmore. Awesome stuff. The other 2 bands aren't too bad either. If you live nearby, I think there are still some seats left for tonite's show (3/19).
