I remember one Sunday, in Sunday School my class which is 90% composed of girls were asked what are some attractive qualities in a guy all of them put down musician/guitarist. Next Sunday morning when they came in I was playing my acoustic.

You went for the chick factor?

I knew I was a guitarist, truly meant to be a guitarist, when I started getting really involved in CGR. Imagine that

1) When I'm waiting for my wife to check out at Walmart and I sit down on those benches at the end of the check-out counters, pick up one of the First Act acoustics, a kid walks by and says "you'll never tune it", I tune it up and pluck out Robert Johnsons 32-20 Blues. And man, it sounded good on that crappy guitar.

2) I come to realize that there are a billion and one (counting me) guitarist in the world right now, and that if I had learned to play bass I would be in demand, cause all these guitarist need bassist, but I'm way too addicted to quit.

3) If there was a Rehab program to get off of guitar it would take WAY MORE than 12 steps for me.

3) Your MSN display pic, background pic, majority daily conversation, and majority of your thoughts are about your baby
4)You call your guitar your 'baby'
5)You're more attracted to your guitar's curves than you are to female curves
6)You feel infatuated by your guitar
7)You keep your old string wrappers
8)You can find a guitar player, and manage to play their guitar every time you travel to a new town.

I save the wrappers that my strings come in and keep them in my guitar case. They're starting to pile up now...

When I know I was a guitar player? Well, when you go to bed at night and dream about guitars, wake up in the morning and think about guitars (all day) when you play your guitar every and ANY chance you get.. when you cry like a baby when someone drops YOUR guitar (please, I don't like to remember so don't ask) when people ask you if you ever leave your guitar somewheres.. oh, and here's one.. when you cannot sleep knowing that your guitar is not in the same room as you.. yes. That's true. If my guitar is in the living room and I am getting in bed in my room ( I live in a small apartment) I have to go out and get him before I can sleep! *shakes head* The sad life of a guitarist.. lol!
