I wouldn't see any purpose to this, unless you wanted to pick up the pace to a game. Because tackling just increases the chances of injuries in the lighter people, thus making the game ridiculous. But if you have a bunch of people that will never throw the frisbee, I see this as a viable solution.

Ultimate Frisbee is the best!! I play it a lot, and we usually play for at least one hour at a time. Can you say workout?

Over the summer, I went on a retreat with my church, and we played Ultimate at 10:00 PM, and no one could really see the frisbee, until it hit them. So many bruises......

I am the UF master. Well, not quite yet. I don't run enough. I have quick hands, and can throw like the devil, though. I love it. Earlier this summer, I spent an hour a day practicing. I would now, if I had someone to practice with. I love Ultimate Frisbee. I am going to play it in about a week and a half, too.

Ultimate is crazy...there is so much injury potential though, especially if you play with ridiculous people like me. I can't remember how many times I almost got my nose ripped off my a frisbee buzzing an inch away from my face. And I've seen some nasty, nasty collisions. But it's all in the fun of the game.

My nose is crooked and bleeds incessantly because of a UF accident from this time last year...

Impressive. This is the fourth Ultimate thread in the last year. All about to merge.

I played a lot last summer, then got a stress fracture in my foot, and it still seems to be healing, so running and jumping is out of the question for awhile. Once I get my running legs back though, I am going to go nuts. There are some really good leagues and pick up games here in Houston. Plus I've been working out, so I'm in better shape.
