Following its No. 1 selling sixsteps/Sparrow Records CD, Illuminate, the David Crowder Band releases its first live project for retail, The Lime CD, March 23.
Highlighting the band’s introspective lyrical depth and creativity, The Lime CD offers six new live versions of concert favorites along with a compelling and rare instrumental, “End Of October.” The recording also features an “unplugged” David Crowder performing solo with his Crowdster Acoustic guitar on the demo version of “Heaven Came Down,” which was the pre-cursor to the studio version found on Illuminate. The Lime CD further features “Undignified” and “I Need Words / God Of Wrath” from the David Crowder Band’s critically acclaimed debut, Can You Hear Us?.
Featuring more than 42-minutes of music, the eight-song CD, which will list for only $7.99 at retail, will be supported through a targeted marketing campaign featuring grassroots efforts, touring, publicity and more. The Internet campaign is slated to include a WorshipTogether.com promotion offering free songs, Bible studies, sheet music, interviews and other special offers. Focus at retail will include joint positioning of both The Lime CD and the band’s best-selling release ever, Illuminate. CBA retail stores will have the ability to take advantage of the momentum around Illuminate by offering both recordings for only $20.
