| Did out in the electronics after you bought the 810?? I didn't think Taylor sold fishmans in non-cutaways. I want to get a 2001 310e, not a 310ce. But Taylor doesn't sell it.

| Thanks for the comments everyone. But if you think they look good, you should hear how they sound! Quote: Originally posted by Aaron Did out in the electronics after you bought the 810?? Aaron | Aaron, I'm assuming it was done at the factory. I say "assuming" because my 810 was a gift from my brother, who bought it used, so I don't know the prior history of the guitar. It was about a year and a half old when he bought it.
The Fishman has the Taylor logo on it, so I always just assumed it was done at the factory; however, I think it may have been first built and shipped without the 'e', and then been sent back to have it added. The reason I think this is that the case doesn't have a cutout for the electronics, while my DDSM's case does.
I know that Taylor has different "rules", if you will, about their 300 & 400 series. There are certain options you have on the 500's & up, such as different top woods, that you can't get in the 3's and 4's. Perhaps that's what the problem is with the non-cutaway. It's too bad that they don't offer the configuration that you want; I don't think I'd want a cutaway x10 either, but the electronics are nice. |

| I see that some of you have Takamine guitars. I got my Takamine G Series EG-230 Acoustic/Electric guitar at Guitar Center for $230, but i've seen them as high as $500. It's a great sounding guitar and looks great.
