| "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" came out on DVD today. Or rather, yesterday. I didn't buy it, but my friend Sammy did. Until he graduates, I don't really need to buy DVDs, as he already owns a lot of my favorite movies. It's convenient that way.
I'd just like to point out that ESotSM is an amazing movie. That is all. |

| Work was mindnumbingly repetitive. Stick chicken strips in basket. Lower into oil. Remove from oil when ready. Place in container. Hand over to impatient student. Repeat ad nauseum. Occasionally I'd get the fresh challenge of the legendary "grilled cheese" or "personal pan pizza" that would barely stem the constant flow of chicken strip orders...
Katy came and visited me just before I closed up shop. It was very thoughtful of her, as that was around 2 AM, and she could of been doing more important things, like sleeping. But instead she came and said goodnight. It was...nice.
I was sick this morning. Classic head cold: stuffed up nose, scratchy throat, coughing, headache, and zero energy. Skipped Hkin lab. Apparently if I miss two labs I fail the chorus, so I went to see the nurse, both for cough syrup and a note for my missed class. The only thing that's really going to help me get better is more sleep. Going to have to work on that. |

| Heck yeah dude. Sleep is great. What is it with peopel and chicken strips? I would much rather have a grilled cheese myself. Mmmm. A skeeterdan grilled cheese. WERD!
Hope that note works dude. Get some rest and feel better. |

| Your job sounds quite a bit like Chris' job.
Here is some chicken soup. FEEL BETTER!

Here's some numbers:
1. My nose is still all plugged up and I sound kinda stupid when I talk because of it. So lame.
2. I spent the afternoon filing worship songs for our chapel coordinator as part of my volunteer work for TWIST. It was okay. I did find out that one of the few modern P&W songs we sing in chapel, "Lord I'm Grateful (Grace)", was written by Stuart Townend, of "How Deep the Father's Love For Us" fame. He's a good songwriter. I like him.
3. I think I want to be a filmmaker.
4. I've been drinking more Nestea to get over my mild addiction to Coca-Cola. Trading one caffeinated product for another, but at least Nestea doesn't have quite as much sugar. Plus it's not carbonated, so it doesn't make me gassy. Overshare!
5. I've been using Speed Stick lately, as it was onsale when I last bought deodorant. I miss my Old Spice. I think Katy does too. |

| Stuart Townend is someone who has caught my eye on two songs. "How Deep" and "In Christ Alone." I'll have to check out this other one of which you speak. |

Coheed & Cambria has captured my listening ear. I've had great difficulty removing it from my CD player for any extended period of time over the last three days. |

| So, for my Feature Writing class, I'm planning to write a feature article on Christian artists titled "Art or Ministry" or somesuch. I'm hoping to set up an interview of sorts with either Lee Bozeman or Derek Webb or both to see what they have to say on the subject. Here's the email I sent to Lee:
Hello Lee,
I hope this email finds you well. My name is Daniel ****** and I am a third year Communication major at Trinity Western University in Langley, BC. For my Feature Writing class, I hope to write an article entitled "Art or Ministry" in regards to music by Christian artists. I was hoping to possibly get an interview with you to get your perspective on the subject and also to discuss Luxury, All Things Bright and Beautiful, and some of the other artists you've come in contact with, such as namelessnumberheadman and Joy Electric.
If this is something you'd be interested in, please email me back and we can set up a time and medium (phone, IM, email) that would suit you.
God bless,
Daniel ****** |

| Would you recommend It's Never Enough (Ace Troubleshooter) as a fun pop-rock album? I'm looking for something that's fun to listen to, but not something like Relient K's "Sadie Hawkins Dance" lyrically. And I've seen It's Never Enough at Tower Records sitting there all lonely for the past few months...And I thought I might save it from its loneliness of being there on the shelf all by itself.

| I love It's Never Enough. But it's nothing like Relient K. In fact, it's a little more rock than pop-punk. Some of the songs are fun (esp. "Jasmine", "Don't Do It Again", and "Seaside"), but I don't think any single song on there is silly. Each song has a serious point to make about love and relationships (or the lack thereof).
Suffice it to say, I encourage you to go get it. Now. |

| I heard Ball And Chain on Purevolume. It's a good song. Not at all like RK.

| My attention has been drawn to a new webcomic entitled Commissioned. So far it's been quite amusing. The art is top-notch, the humour legitamately funny, and the concept somewhat new. It follows two guys who are roleplaying geeks (as am I) as they play games and such. Nothing revolutionary yet, there's hundreds of comics with that basic starting point. But the main character is an artist who gets commissioned to do portraits of fantasy characters. The barbarian, fighter, whatever is actually right there talking to the guy. Kinda funny. Based of the guy's actual experience as an RPG illustrator. So far I'm liking it. |
