picking

ok when you don't strum the guitar some people pick each string don't know what it's called but i was wondering what strings you pick thanks

It most certainly depends on the song. I improvise a LOT when it comes to finger picking, i just pick whatever sounds good.
There's a guitar tabs section on here tho, so say you wanted to know exactly which notes to pick for The Heart of Worship, it'd tell you. It helps a lot if you know which notes you're playing, cause then you can just make stuff up on the spot..hehe...
before I learned how to pick and pluck I had to learn all the notes and which fret/string/chord made which ones. --Zoe
