Favorite Mixed Drink?

Well, we have threads about fast food, beer, wine, etc... so i think it's about time.

If your favorite drink has a name that is not suited to the nature of the forums, just list the ingredients. If you will, also tell why you like said drink.

Light drink:

(can't remember the name)
Cranberry Stoli Vodka
Martinelli's sparkling cider (you can use champagne in a pinch.. but mixing alchohols can be bad)

Dark Drink:

Rum & Coke, the old favorite of course.
Rums-- I typically like extra dark (non-see through) rums, like extra dark special captians, or the cuban stuff i bring back from canada... (shhh)
Coke-- obviously the original here. Pepsi is even more nasty with rum, than it is plain.

white drinks:

White Russian-- This is the perfect drink for a hot summers evening, or watching The Big Lebowski.

Stoli Vodka
Kahlua
half & half
(ice)

so... name a few of yours.

(note: i'm not promoting consuming vast quantities... i had to learn my lesson from that. I simply like to drink these because they taste very nice, and it's something of a social activity. )

Hmmm, grape juice and seltzer water is usually pretty good. Also, Barq's and Coke with a little 7up.

Whiskey Sours are a good one with me.

Sometimes I think mixed drinks preference has a lot of sentimental memories attached to it.

I was losing bigtime in Vegas when I drank a Manhattan. I will never drink a Manhattan again (not to mention they taste lousy too).

I'm more inclined to order a Black Russian over a White.

perhaps you're right.

I drink a white russian, and i think to myself "the dude abides".

martini's are good, but i only drink gin martini's (vodka martini's aren't real. ) the problem is getting the right amount of vermouth. Basically let the martini sniff it. I've heard that a teeny bit swirled around to coat the glass, and then poured out is just about the right amount, but i haven't tried that yet. Plus, i usually have mine with onions instead of olives, which i hate. :P

I like a good Jack & Coke. Sidecars are pretty good, too. A fine margarita with El Tesoro Anejo tequila will blow your mind, as well. Heck, forget the margarita-- just sip on the El Tesoro!!

quite surprisingly, the only mixed drink I've had is rum and coke. It was quite tasty, and I'd love to have more.
