| Just a few things come to mind to check:
The volume, balance and/or tone controls (pots) could be dirty - twist them back and forth several times, see if it gets better, or different. If so use some alcohol or pot cleaner on them with the amp turned off and unpluggged. Eventually pots get dirty.
If it has any pushbutton or toggle switches for things like switching A/B speaker outs, EQ in/out, or other signal-chain switching, activate them on-off-on-off several times. If that helps, clean the switches with alcohol or cleaner like above, off and unplugged.
Twist all the RCA in connectors on the back to make sure they are seated properly.
Re-seat the speaker out connections on both the amp and the speakers.
Make sure it is the amp - try a different source thru it, unless it does this with multiple sources.
These connection and dirty controls things are pretty common sources of problems. If they don't fix it there's not much else you could do unless you are an electronics tech. |
