Calling all tabbers!

I'm looking for those in the tabbing elite to step up to the plate and keep tab requests from dropping off the face of the Earth unanswered. With prompting from acoustic and Consumingfire, I have created a Yahoo Group for CGR tabbers, aptly named -
CGR Tabbers

In order to keep this group of some reputable quality, I ask that you do the following in order to join the group:

Go here and click to join the group. Follow all of the instructions given. You must have a Yahoo account to join.
Post in this thread your intent to join along with your Yahoo user name (so we're sure that's it's you we need to approve) and the approximate number of songs you've transcribed.
In the same post, attach or provide a link to a song or two you've transcribed that demonstrate your skill in this matter.
Continue to check this forum for requests in addition to those sent to the Yahoo group.

Numbers 2. and 3. are requested so that we can keep the tabs provided as accurate as possible. I reserve the right to admit or deny membership to anyone, but am also willing to work with those who show improvement. Don't view posting in this thread as an annoyance. It is an easy post to add to your overall count, and I will occasionally (read "more than once") visit it and rep people who have joined the group who are cranking out tabs.

As a member of the group, please do the following:

Important - provide the following address in your sig so that users who see it will be able to email us.
cgrtabbers@yahoogroups.com
Try to work on tab requests that you are familiar with.
If you decide to take a tab, post a message to the group and let everyone know. If you need help with the tab, posting a message about that would be good, as well.
When you finish, email the tab to the person and submit it to the CGR archives. If they posted the same request in the tabs forum, go ahead and post it in the appropriate thread, also.

Rep points to whoever makes a good, small logo (100x30 or so, about the size of the paid member icon) to use for this. Here's mine.

Here is a logo some of the guys in the graphics forum made me. We can use this as our universal logo and link it to the group.

Correct me if i am wrong.... But the link you currently have it linked to is for you to JOIN the Tabbing group... Most people just wanna send you an email... So would'nt you want to put "cgrtabbers@yahoogroups.com"
And set the link to a "mail to" link.? That way when they click on the image, it will give them an email addy, to send things to the whole group.

Did that just make any since?

You're right. I was hoping to have people making requests to read the description, which has the guidelines for requests, to make things flow easier. I guess I'll find some other way to incorporate it.

So the whole group would get the email and those who tab the type of music they are requesting would reply. But the problem is, more than one person would most likely reply. I would think we would only want 1 person to reply. We could do away with the group and only allow a certain usergroup (cgrtabbers) to be able to reply to threads in the Tab forum and the person that replys tabs the request. Get it?

or we could only assign one person to each kind of music so only one person would reply back.

All you need to do is post a message to everybody saying you're going to work on the song. That way only one person does it. And if you having trouble, ask for help.

If you don't meet the requirments you can't join, but if you do, please post them in this thread. (The requirments are in the first post of this thread.)
