It's as easy as ABC. Admit that your a sinner, believe that Christ died for you, accept Jesus in to your heart as your personal saviour and Lord. Thank him for forgiving you. God bless.

Romans 10:9If you declare with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.

Just adding to what others have said.....

Ephesians 2:8,9

For by grace you have been saved, through faith, this is not of yourselves this is the gift of God.

Aside from what the other 2 said.....Just believe Jesus is Lord of your life and grow in the Lord.

Unless I'm forgetting something the only denominations that don't believe that are Apostolics, Church of Christ , and *possibly* catholics...

CoC and Cathoics believe that certain sacrements must be done to goto heaven.

Apostolics believe that you must be filled with the Holy Spirit w/ Evidence of speaking in tounges to be saved.

I don't remember sarcaments in the CoC. My mother is CoC.

It depends on your meaning of Apostolics.

/me throws a fit

You have to Repent, be baptized in the name of Jesus, and recieve the gift of the holy ghost as evidenced by speaking in tounges.

CoC believes (unless Im mistaken), you must be baptised to be saved, similarly to Nthanael believes...Minus the Holy Spirit part.

Apostolics = Pentecostal Apstolics, that believe basically what Nthanael said.

Am I to assume you that you are asking for specifically Pentecostal answers?
Otherwise this is going to Theology.

ah, yes, that verse is so nice I memorized it twice. hahaha, and I especially like the followup verse that explains why.

Romans 10:10 (not a paste): For with the heart one believes unto righteousness and with the mouth confession is made into salvation.

where does it say in the bible that you have to speak in tounges to be saved??

cuz wouldn't rom 10:9 go against what u are saying...
1 john 2:3 "We know that we have come to know him if we obey his commands."

is speaking in tounges the only thing that he commands of us? if i follow his commandments, share the gospel, but dont speak in tounges am i not save?

speaking in tounges is not a requirement to go to heaven. if you say tounges is a fruit(evidence) of being saved then fine, but it also can be evidenced by our testimony.

james 2:18 "But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.”
Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by what I do."

Baptism of water and the spirit (Regeneration) is required to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. However, Pentecostals (erroneously) believe that one must speaks in tongues as a direct manifestation of said baptism. The problem with this exegesis is that tongues is a
specific gift given to certain people, and not to all. The Sacred Scriptures give no indication that everyone who is regenerate will speak in tongues....thusly, the position is categorically false.
