Ultrasounds-TO KNOW OR NOT TO KNOW

So, how 'bout it? Do/will you find out ahead of time, or let it be a surprise?

We have let it be a surprise all 3 times, and we will do the same this time! It's pretty fun to have everyone guessing..

We didn't ask about either and that was okay with us.

My mom kept all four of us surprises. I was soooo sure the youngest would be a girl. And I was right. I don't know if I want to find out with my kids or not. I figure I have awhile to think about it.

I'm praying for twins for you and Wendy, 1 of each. Triplets would be fun too.

We found out at 20 weeks with Macey. In fact, we found out on Mickey's birthday. From the time we found out we were expecting a baby we both thought we were having a girl, so we wanted to see if we were right...and we were.

There's something to be said for the element of surprise, but for us the surprise of finding out the baby's sex just came mid-way through the pregnancy and not at delivery.

We decided to find out with our next baby (whenever that is - probably in a couple more years) and then if we have a third, that one can be a surprise...maybe...we're just so curious.

Joann & I did the same as Kelly & Mickey. We got the news at the second ultrasound and still considered it a wonderful surprise to know what we were having - it's just that the surprise comes a little earlier!

For those keeping score at home, you probably remember that we have two girls.

We tried to peek on all of ours but they couldn't tell us for sure, so it was a surprise anyway.

Unfortunately, when I was 6 months along with my firstborn, I was rear-ended by some old man (who was 90, dislocated shoulder, @ broad daylight @ 55 m.p.h. +) AND the grace of God kept us alive!! For I was rammed through oncoming cars of 55 m.p.h + and into a street sign. I thought I was going to .

So... I ended up in the hospital and everyone was she's still alive!! Because the EMT told them that my Honda was crushed in, the whole trunk & backseat came to the front - glass shattered all over - I knocked out the review mirror - damaged my cochlear implant - I was because I had to be deaf for 4 more months until my son was born. There was no way that they can operate on me while pregnant!

AND to top it off, I got scammed by the insurance agency. They gave me $1200 for an aggravation fee...who has heard of such thing?? I had no idea that I was "settling" my case. Unfortunately, I live in NC, which is a contractual state... and I can't wait to move out of this state!!!!!

So... to make my visit at the E.R., I thought, "heck, why not? " So we peeked and saw something poking up in the fluid... and I knew, that my son's name was Nathanael - gift of God. For he is a miracle!
