Well, I spent 18 years of my life in South Africa and close to some of the best places to surf!! Cape Town known for it's big blue and cold waters infested with sharks occasionally

But yeah, you are right!! South Africa has some of it's best wave riders as well as some of the best places to surf!!! I wanted to get into surfing myself, but just couldn't get around the cold waters... surfing is also an expensive sport!!

So, I got into the whole looking like one and having loads and loads of surf pictures and mags in my room!!

What places have you heard of.. Jeffrey's Bay? You surf yourself?

The only place I've really heard of for it's surf is Cape Town. I'm familair with the surf because I've seen endless summer many times and my favorite waves on the movie are in south africa!
Yeah, I surf. I come form a family where we all surf. my parents my siblings and my friends all really enjoy it, we're not the best but we love it!

Those waves rock!!! I'll check out the links later (my computer is acting funky) I see you live in new zeland. do you surf there? I've seen some waves on the web from there and they're nice too, much better than in my home town in Florida. but i like the warm water here!

The #1 Surf spot in the World is J-Bay (Jefferies Bay, near Port Elizabeth).

I don't surf, but my brother is a surfer (well was...since he got married he hasn't been surfing)
