My wife didn't thrive on the baby thing, nor did she glow when she was pregnant. When the second came she looked like she had all she could take, so I took measures to stop at 2. My brother has 4 daughters and is going by the old philosophy that God will stop giving them babies when they have enough. His wife seems o.k. with that. My brother was a football coach so if he ever has a boy he may change his mind.

I'm the second oldest of 10. I want as many as God gives me. I believe birth control is sinful and so I don't intend to limit the number of kids I have. Besides, kids are a blessing...and pretty dang cool, at that...so I want a lot.

Before we start a debate in here, let me remind everyone that this is not the Theology forum. There is already an existing thread in there to discuss whether or not you believe birth control is sinful. Here is the link to that thread.

http://www.christianguitar.org/forum...ad.php?t=67242

Let's keep this thread on topic and respect one another's beliefs, whether we agree with them or not. Thanks.

In His service,
Lee Modlin

I'm not trying to start a debate. I've never heard of anyone saying that birth control is sinful... I haven't been in this forum long so I don't know all of the other threads. Thanks for pointing it out.

There are those who believe that contraception goes against God's will. If you want to get a look at some of those arguments try checking that link out. I don't think anyone was trying to start anything here. It's just one of those times where we don't all see eye to eye.

I have 3 on the earth with me, all boys and CGR members ( 16, almost 18, and 19), and I lost 4 ( who I believe are in Heaven ). I also have a foster son, and through the years have had numerous others in and out of our home. I also have some girls that I " claim" as mine....and one for sure will be my daughter in law in the not too distant future... I can honestly say , I love my " daughters" as much as I love my sons.

We "have" 3, here on earth, boy/girl/boy, 11,9,3. I don't understand why or how God is SO good, but He is.

Teaching oldest guitar, but I think the "g" in the middle is gonna pass us all. She's got more rythm in her little finger than.......

I only wanted one child and I was blessed with a daughter, who is about to leave for college soon. I love her dearly and will miss her terribly when she goes. It is my humble opinion that children are a gift from God, they are loaned to us as a steward of that soul for a short time, they grow up and leave only to become steward's themselves. I applaud those women and men who desire as many children as God will bestow and applaud even more those who desire adoption of children without parents. I also understand that there are those who may be given a child with many needs, where one is enough. God gives us what He knows we can handle. I thank Him for my beautiful daughter, who is the joy of my life.
