Proverbs 28:1

"The fool runs from everything, but the godly are bold as lions." I love this verse! It's so true.
Many times in life, small things scare us. If you just look at all the lists of phobias, there are hundreds. People are afraid of anything from spiders to being late. And they're not just a little scared, they are really afraid! God also told us not to be anxious about anything, and to cast all our cares on him.
I read a quote once that said "Before you go to sleep, cast your problems onto God. He'll be up all night anyway." Isn't it true? Why do we toss and turn in bed over tiny problems, or even big ones? That's not God's will for our lives. He wants us to truly enjoy ourselves.
Don't be a fool, letting everything scare you and make you afraid. Stand up and weather the storm with God's help. But another warning: Don't try to do it by yourself. We can do anything with God, we can do nothing without Him.

Man, I love that quote. I need to remember that one.

To tell the truth, the thing that scares me is sharing my faith. Can you believe it? You said that we can do anything with God, we can do nothing without him. Maybe that has been my problem...I've been trying to do it on my own. With this new year beginning, that is the area of my life that I want God to work on.
