Summer

Anyone else think that summer here is just too short and winter far too long? The worst thing about summer here is the sun, you go out, you get burned and peel and many years down the line, are very prone to skin cancer.... it kinda sucks really!! I work to long to enjoy the summers here in NZ.... At least it stays lght for long, so thats cool

Yeah, I think they need to shorten the work days during the middle of summer because it seems so short, really only maximum of 3 months of decent summer. That whole La nen ya (whatever it's called) that causes our summers to be stuffed up sucks, I don't know if it's still in effect but it was really bad a couple of years ago. It gave us one really good, long summer but since then the North Island has had crappy summers, dont know about the South Island.

Ack. I want spring and autumn to be way longer, and winter and summer to be a bit shorter. Some days it's so hot it's depressing. Boy, do I feel sorry for the South Islanders who got 40 Degrees yesterday! That's mad, man!

Locked into a corner, up against the wall,
I know you've been stumbling, trying not to fall.
I can feel your sorrow, and I can share your pain
I can hear the questions exploding in your brain.
Walking in the shadows, feeling all alone;
Looking for the answers, rolling every stone.
'Tis a run in silence, and laughing nearly came
Though my eyes can't see you, I know we're much the same.

The sky is raining tears tonight My brother You know it's hard to sleep So far from home The moon has covered up her eyes My sister I thought I'd find you here But I am all alone All alone Light of Heaven Lord of mercy Shine the goodness Of your love upon this day Till we see you Till we know you Till the sorrow And the darkness fades away Fades away I searched the city streets today My father The tunnel and the train The river and the rain I walked beneath the harbor lights My mother And in the shadows there I call your name I call your name

Yeah, I'm glad I'm not in the South Island at the moment, spring is really good 'cause it isn't too hot.
