Lemony Snicket

I was wondering if anyone else had read his Series of Unfortunate Events.

I have, and find them really good easy reading.

PEACE
WILLIAM

My sister has them and won't let me even get close.

They look a little depressing. But I haven't heard anything except good comments about them, so I'm curious.

I wouldn't say that they're depressing. They are really funny if you can catch the hidden meanings in them and all that good stuff. They aren't really meant to be taken seriously, though the author writes them as if they should be. That may sound confusing, but tht is the best wording I can put it in.

Anyway, they are good books, so you should read them.

Also, note above, I said they were easy reading, not like an in-depth novel.

PEACE AND LOVE
WILLIAM

I've read a few of the series... they're pretty fun. They're very well written, and I like his style.

Yeah, I guess it's really the style of writing that's the best. The narration. The stories are pretty good, but it's the way they are written that's the most fun to read.

The Unauthorized Autobiography is good too. He even made the dust jacket to where it is reversible, so that nobody sees what you are really reading. It looks like you're reading a happy book about ponies, lol.

I haven't read any of the actual series, but the "Unauthorized Autobiography" was wonderfully dizzying.

Of course it is...

Anyway, after re-reading some of the books, I've decided that they were even better than I had originally thought. Now I'm catching some of the great little comments and inferences I missed when I first read them. They are an absolutly wonderful series of books.

Have you read...

Has anyone else read 'A series of Unfortunate Events' by Lemony Snicket?

I just began reading them because I have read my Harry Potter books until the covers are about to fall off and I was wanting something new to read in the way of childrens literature. I really really like them. They have alot of humor in them some of it adult and are very interesting reads.

So I was just wondering if anyone else had read them and what they thought.
