I'm going to put up a witnessing tract that I wrote as something different today. Enjoy, and merry Christmas!!!!

Have you ever driven a car? A snowmobile? Any sort of a vehicle? With all motorized vehicles, there’s a steering wheel, or something that you can use to steer the vehicle in the direction you want it to go. And after practice, you get the steering down to a key, so you don’t even have to think when you steer, you just do it.

Now let me ask you this. Have you ever tried steering a car from the backseat? Harder isn’t it? Or even from the passenger’s side, it just isn’t as easy! You could steer too much, and run into a tree, or worse, a person! And you could steer too little, and not get where you want to go.
In our lives, there’s a steering wheel. We’re like a car that needs to go a certain direction. But we’re sitting on the passenger’s side, trying to steer our lives from there. It may work some of the time, but lots of times, we end up hurting other people, when we didn’t want to.
God is the driver of all of our lives, even if we’re not Christians. We’re on the passenger’s side, and he’s behind the wheel. He won’t take hold of the wheel unless we let him. Often-times, we try to steer other directions, or try to take complete control of our lives. God will let us, but he knows that we are not as complete without him.

He wants us to just say, “Here, God, take control. I’m sick and tired of trying to do this, my arms are getting sore from reaching over things, and my back hurts from this weird position. I need to you drive, I can’t.”

Sounds easy, but a lot of times, it’s not. We want to go where we want to go. We’ll make up our mind, “I want to go to the swimming pool” when God wants to take us to the ocean! He’s always got something better in store.
So if you’re sick of driving from the passenger’s side, and your heart aches because of the things you’ve done that hurt people, let God take control. It’s as simple as saying this prayer:
“God, I know I’ve messed up. I’ve hurt people, I’ve gone to superficial places when you’ve wanted to take me to a much better spot. I give up. I surrender my life completely. I know that I can trust you to do the best thing in my life. It may be hard, but I give it all to you. I accept you as the one who’s saving my life from this sure death. Thank you for what you’ve done for me. Thank you for sending your only son, Jesus, to die for me, so you could have control at my choosing. Please take control. In your name, Amen.”
It’s his free gift to you. Don’t wait, accept it now. Forget the “Don’t open until X-mas” card. That’s not on there. He wants you to receive it now.

God bless you in your relationship with him.
