| I took the SAT twice and made a 1360 the last time...720 on verbal and 640 on math. Made the second highest score in my class. (That's not saying much, though; there were only 23 of us.)

| Got my ACT scores back: 31. I was happy. My individual scores were amusing though:
English: 35
Math: 24
Reading: 36 (perfect score!)
Science: 29
Yeahhhhh...I'm definitely more an english/social studies type of person than a math/science person.

Strat_dude | Yeah, I wish. I got a 217 on the PSAT, but I was only commended because the cutoff mark to be semi-finalist for students studying overseas was 221....and some people in Arkansas got semi-finalist with only a 205...
Anyway...that was a year ago now, since I've taken the PSAT, so I'm kind of over the frustration of that....
I took the SAT twice before Christmas (Oct and Dec). First time I got 1450, second time I got 1440. The second time, I got a 790 on the math section. I just got my score report this week, and the range of math scores for three universities I had my scores sent to (Stanford, Harvard, and Yale) was 690-780! I scored above their average high! Yeah, that made my day .

| 1430 on the Janurary. 760 Verbal, 670 Math. I'm taking it again in June. I'll remember to bring my freaking calculator this time. I got to the testing site, and realized I forgot my beloved TI-83 at home.
Mmm, my best friend got a 1490 on her third trial. I was really happy for her.

| I don't know if I'm going to take the SAT or not, but I just got my ACT scores and I'm super happy. I got a 30. I'll probably take it again to see if I can push it up a little though.

| I'd do it, just in case you score really high.
What were your subscores?

What were your subscores? | I'm definitely taking it again this April. I REregistered today. My subscores:
English: 30
Math: 29
Reading: 29
Science: 30
So...I'll need to improve a little on each section, but it's worth a try.

| okay, i read almost the first 2 pages of this thread, and then i just didn't want to hear any more. i thought i was all smart because i got a 1350... (1000 is supposedly average, you know... at least according to the book i skimmed.) anyways, i made a 1350. ths was my first time. what do you guys think? should i take it again (just for my ego's sake)? but you do have to give me credit for living in the state with the most un-educated people. |

| You beat me
Don't worry about "ego". If it's good enough to get you where you want to go, then it's good enough. If not, retake it.

| Got a 1330 this time around. 710 on math and 620 on verbal. Math has always been my forte... Sucks that they're revamping it for next year. I know I could have gotten a 1600 by my senior year (2007)... oh well. Not like I plan on going to an ivy league school or anything. Now it's out of 2400. Fun.
Bah, I put University of North Texas on my "report score to" schools. I only put them because I was midly interested in their jazz program (which now I'm not sure if I even want to do anything in music) and they have been sending me crap non stop. Blargh. Oh well. Maybe a college that I'm more interested in will take interest in me. Haha, it's just like girls. The ones you really like don't care about you ... or something. |

| I retook the SATs and got ten points higher, ha. It seemed like such a waste. But my scores are good enough to get scholarships and into college, so I'm not going to worry that it's not a 1400. I got a 1370.
On the PSATs, I got a 217...which means I qualify for National Merit (a very good thing, because that = scholarships). Hallelujah for free money.
I'm thinking about taking the ACTs because I think I will do better. Standardized tests just aren't my thing.
