| What's the WORST movie you ever saw? For me, it has to be either The Craft, or probably Titanic.
Titanic was all effects, no acting, no direction, the biggest triumph of gloss over content that has ever been screened (in my ohsohumble opinion). Great actors, but bad acting. James Cameron is so hyped as a director, but has yet to deliver anything that has impressed me.
Now I try to steer clear of Hollywood - the real quality comes from so called "world cinema" - not LA.

| At the moment i think that the Worst movie ever was "Man on the Moon" -the Andy Kaufman Bio, with Jim Carry in it. I couldn't even watch the whole thing, it was SOOOOOOOOOO BAD!!!!!!!!!!!! What i also hated about it was that it got all this hype, but it ended totally floping in theaters-ha ha ha!!!
Titanic was a bad one too! Too much hype for a movie that you knew the ending to when you entered the theater. |

| hmmmm you probably thought MAN ON THE MOON was bad becuase you thought (might have thought, that is) jim carrey would play one of his typical roles
but it was based on the life of a man so, the character could not be exaggerated or 'warped' in any way
i kind of liked andy kauffman's 'different' kind of humor
it was original
i like originality
ok, but just to be clear, i'm not saying you have to like it, thats just what i think about the movie
hmmm i've seen soooo many bad movies but one thats near the top is PRACTICAL MAGIC. and not because they practice magic (i didnt like this movie even before i became a Christian), its just plain terrible.
one minute its romantic comedy, next its drama, then its horror, then its like a dark comedy. and it keeps changing - ahhh i cant stand it! LOL |

| I'm sad to say I saw "Scary Movie" and it was the WORST movie I have ever seen. I'm not kidding. It was just waaaay too crude, and not funny at all, plus it was totally GROSS. I should have just walked out of it, but sadly, I didn't.

| Man, you people don't live. You gotta love The Stupids. Those are classics... Dumb and Dumber, Billy Madison...do you see what kind of movie man I am???? I do like some movies that are serious. Saving Private Ryan, Save The Last Dance. But the WORST ever, was You've Got Mail. I fell asleep right in the middle of it. Talk about no action or plot or anything good. In my opinion, I would think you could figure out who it was quicker than that. Bad bad bad.

| Dude, Where's My Car is about the dumbest movie I've ever seen. I could've written a better movie. The only good part is when they get the tatoos. "Dude, what does mine say? (Sweet What does mine say?) Dude, what does mine say? (Sweet, what does mine say?)" Then the movie went basically downhill from there.

| Perhaps....
Well it wasn't the fact that i was expecting jim carry to play one of his typical roles. Cuz if i would have expected that i wouldn't have even seen it at all( i honestly don't like jim carry much!) It was just that it...i don't know...had no real point to it. I had seen bio's on andy kauffman on tv before and liked them. I don't know...i was just really disappointed with it. No offense to any who liked it, or any who like jim carry.
And after thinking about the question more another movie came to mind as being the worst movie ever...
Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas...a movie with no plot, no point, no good writing, NOTHING TO IT!!!!!! The actors, whomever they were, were pretty good at acting high through out the whole movie but that's my point, just plain STUPID! no offense to any who liked it.
Just my 2 or 3 penny's worth. |

| My husband has a contribution: The South Park movie. It was "tasteless" and "grossly explicit." It was "1000 times worse than the cartoon itself." Why he actually saw it is beyond me...
Come on, "You've Got Mail" had a plot. And a darn good one too.
The worst movie I've ever seen was "Bastard Out of Carolina." It was so depressing. The little girl was constantly molested by her mom's shack-up scumbag, and the mother was dumb enough to forgive him every time, even after catching him on her daughter. Cruddy, cruddy, cruddy! I tried to watch "Good Will Hunting" but got too disgusted with it, especially the story Minnie Driver tells in the bar. BARFO!
You know, some of the best movies are the non-hyped ones. "The Spitfire Grill" is very good, and "Simon Birch" covers thought-provoking theological issues. Also, "Finding Forrester" is really good, but it has swear words since it is set in the ghetto. A bleeped version is highly reccommended. And what about "The Green Mile"? Wow. I love that big guy. That's a movie that will make you think seriously about the ramifications of the death penalty (I'm still for it, but I'm somber about it).
Oh, this is a bad movie thread? Sorry. |
