| When you do need new strings, Elixir polywebs are the way to go... lights if you are still just starting, because someone who still isn't good at the wrist action may just snap a string within the month... of course, I play my guitar every day, so that is probably why mine don't last as long... |

School today. At City. 8 flippin' AM. I am certainly more insane than I previously thought. *sighs* I'm already beginning to show up late, and it's not even past the first month. But it's also partly b/c of the busses... they're suppossed to show up every 10-15 minutes or so, and they show up every half hour. Well the 29-line does, anyway. Figures. That's San Francisco for ya. Just when you need all the help you can get.....
I am now a member of the CGR tabbers Yahoo group! Woohoo! So if you need a tab and I know the song... just ask. It can't hurt to ask. I may just be able to to another 20-minute fix-it tab like I did for Todd Agnew's Wait For Your Rain. I looked at the 2 tabs up there and neither of them took into account the fact that Agnew used a capo to achieve the sound he did in the "easy" E-pattern chords. (By that I mean E, Asus2, B2 which is the A but up 2 frets, C#m2 which is the A but up 4 frets, etc.) I wonder if it's up yet. I'll go check right after this.
Posted another poem... but this one's slightly dark. Hehe. During my 2-hour lunch break (which feels like an eternity), I asked my friends for a topic to write about. Ray said, "sleep." I, for one reason or another, somehow mentally added the words "The Ultimate" in front of it and began to write about that instead. *the things I come up with...*
Actually it's kinda good, for being so dark... I channelled my inner rage somehow, so it came out angrier than it did initially. Heh.
Ummmmm I think that's it...........
Yeah. -Rachel
*P.S. Does someone wanna ask me some Q's and I'll answer them? B/c... I don't really know what to write about since ~The Saga~ has yet to unfurl another chapter!*

| Do you like Gary Coleman?
Have you ever used the term "bapticostal" in a sentence?
Are you easily hurt by people's words?
Can you play basketball?
Have you ever seen the sunrise?
Have you ever seen siamese twins in person?
... Do you know the muffin man? |

Umm I don't really have much to talk about today... Had fellowship last nite- a combo with the "career class" which is H.S. c/o 99, the seniors when I was a froshie. Yup... you know whose class that is. But that person was not there... humph. Figures. (I think. Heh.)

| Ha, old people are fun to play with. At least without that dude there you could concentrate more on just having fun without worrying about what he would think about you.
And you guys have beautiful sunsets or what? I'll bet you do, with nothing but ocean for it to set under. |

In the Sunset District, there's houses. Lots of houses. So if I look out my window, there's a row of houses blocking two-thirds of my view of the ocean.......
But the colors, OH the COLORS!!

Allow me to explain. I've decided once and for all (gee, when have I ever used THAT before ) to let this all just go. We'll see how long this lasts.

| That is a good idea. One thing you wanna do is make sure also that you get to the point where if this dude is not the guy God has for you, you would be cool with it. Just cause he makes you all goo-goo doesn't mean he is the one.
That being said, he may be the one and it may just not be time yet. Good luck!

I have finally come full circle... deciding to give up on **** again, much like I did when I was still in HS and daydreaming about him for naught. Obviously this didn't last, or I would've been over him and you wouldn't be reading about this. We shall see, indeed. Time will tell whether I am still or .
~Talking to Chesh on AIM abt this..... hmm. People, if you ever need advice, go to Chesh. The man is a regular Dr. Phil. ~
WELL......
I'm going to be "sharing" for my church on Friday the 13th! Going to do 2-3 songs, whatever they let me do.... It's a college special- "Koinonia Cafe." I won't be the only... um... performer (I think...), and it should be a blast! I plan on doing one of my own songs- not on here... yet- and A Little More by Jen Knapp and Wait For Your Rain by Todd Agnew... if they make me cut the list down, I'll probably cut out the last one... b/c I don't have it memorized, which would help tremendously with playing/singing. Still gotta think a bit more about what to say... Oh yea, and also 3 of us will do Questioning The Notion by Daily Planet... me on keyboard, Serena on guitar and Toni on bass. Yup- a grrlband. Well, just for that nite.
Ok... until next time...

(but you're not getting a valentine now!)
And Superchic[k] is a good band! They have a pretty funny song where Tricia sings about finding "the one" and he turns out to be some famous guy and all that jazz. (No, I don't know what it's called or the exact lyrics... so sue me. I only heard the song once.) Quote: |

I want to grow, mature... and dating is one way to do that. Hang in there a moment and let me explain... (if you were reading Boundaries In Dating like I am, you'd know what I mean already... )
Dating, like life, is a series of experiences... you learn lessons by doing (or not doing) and see what works and doesn't. Except that in general life, you learn about different situations, whereas in dating, you learn what works for a relationship. I'm not advocating merely jumping into a relationship for the sake of being in one... what I'm saying is I'm not against "dating"- which to me, BTW, only means forming a closer bond with someone from the other gender, not "Oooh, let's get all kissy-pooh huggy-wuggy and whatnot..." (HAH sorry... Last Friday, on our combo with the college junior/senior classes, one of the senior guys said "kissy-pooh" and it won't get out of my mind... b/c it was HILARIOUS! LOL! His poor gf... )
So if you couldn't already tell, I'm not for "courtship," but dating..... which may be another reason this guy won't go out w/ me.... many Christian youth read Joshua Harris' book(s) and think that's the only right way to approach relationships w/ the opp. gender... so maybe he did too. I have no idea. OK enough about that......

I just wasn't making it and that time's nuts for me... So I guess I'm taking Women's Health and Stats over the summer then- the only two classes I ever dropped. Whoopee. Oh well, better than flunking.
Oh and abt the "grrlband?" Well there's a guy helping w/ the act too..... He's the Band ministry's drummer... but the rest of us musicians are the college Soph girls, and 2 of our leaders. So 5 girls and one ( slightly older- lol) guy. And we're lucky I tab .... b/c I'd never heard that song b4 in my life, but Serena reallyreally wanted to do Questioning The Notion. So she let us all listen to it a few times, and I grabbed my guitar. I said the song sounded like it was in G(which it was) and got all the rest of the chords after about 10 minutes. It's a pretty easy song, really, but I don't think either Serena or Toni knows enough basic tabbing theory to figure out song chords. So yay for God for giving me musically useful abilities.
Ummm what else....
Oh yeah...
Questions people, questions! Find me some and ask away!
Yes I know someone... Josh?... said go grab some from some one else but most of the ones floating around are way too long for me to bother with.... Ok, till next time....

See, if I end up with the right one too early, and we logically get engaged after a certain amount of time, it will be harder to provide for her earlier in life... this is where I am coming from. I know when I am with a girl I am gonna wanna give her all the love God will let me give her, and this would not be possible in my current situation.

So I show up at my usual hang-out spot a few minutes early, and none of my guys are there yet.... But there are 2-3 ppl groups that hang out in that general location, and many of us know each other... So I go up to them, ask if they saw any of my clique ppl, then ask if I can chill w/ them for awhile. Well, one of their guys brought a guitar to school... and he was playing scales... And I'm all like "oooo, guitar...." Hehe. So the 2 guys I knew best from that group can play, one of them kinda good, the other really well- he's more of an electric player tho- and they're all taking turns on this other poor guy's guitar, playing Hoobastank and Incubus and whatever else they could think of. (I say poor guy b/c the guy who owned it didn't even get to play his own guitar! We were hecka hogging it!) Well- you guessed it- I commented that Evan and Zennis were hecka making me wanna play... so when Ev had to go to class at 1pm, one of the other guys (whom I'd seen at my HS but was never "officially" introduced to b4) nabbed it and handed it to me. So what can I play besides worship songs? MICHELLE BRANCH stuff...... That guy- Kelvin- was like, "Yeah, the cool stuff! Michelle!" LOL! Ohhhh man... and he wasn't even totally joking either, which made it funnier!
So I proceeded to do the Hotel Paper intro- capo-less, so it was a step lower, but it's not like I was singing it- but then Greg (the guitar's new owner) had to go (to class too! but he simply forgot it was 1pm! ) so that was about all I got in before the guitar (and it's owner) left.
I think Greg's hapa, too........... And I think many hapas look pretty good......
*wonder if he's Christian.... I kno some of the guys are... like, I'm about 70% sure Kelvin is.... hmm.........*
My mom and I went out for dinner tonight, right after class. She ends at 3:10, I at 3:30-ish... so she usually has to wait a little bit for me so we can go home together. My dad went to see grandma down in Santa Clara so he wasn't going to be home till later, so we went out. Chinese, of course. I loooooooove chow fun and gin mein! *yummy!* (Ok, in English, that's... chow fun- a long, thin rice noodle cooked with oyster sauce- and gin mein- Hong Kong style pan fried noodles, which are crispy on the edges and have a light sauce poured on it.) We ordered one dish of each and shared... except that gin mein doesn't keep well as leftovers, so we- well, I- finished that up and brought home the remaining chow fun for, I guess, tomorrow's lunch? Cool Song Of The Moment: It Is Well by Something Like Silas
Ok, so it's not originally by them... but their version is AWESOME! if you've never heard of them, you should check them out! They're half Asian... two Asian guys, two white guys, and a hapa girl!! And she's the KEYBOARDER too.... how cool is that! I've found my role model!
I'm kinda fluctuating on my lineup for Friday.... any advice on what I should do? if I chose 2 songs and one was A Little More by Jen Knapp, what should the other be? Wait For Your Rain by Todd Agnew or my own song? I dunno!! *maybe I should post that one.... another time tho! don't have it on me now!*
Ok..... hasta la pasta.... -Rachel
