| I just spent all that time typing up a post that got eaten by CGR. Argh.
It was to you, leenie. Basically it was Glad you stopped by, the kid in Sports was incredibly rude but I was in a good mood, and more stuff about Barry and baseball.
Art and I are going to bed though, so I don't feel like typing that all back up. Apologies.
Goodnight, kids.

| Isn't A-Rod the best baseball player in the game right now? Or are my Sports Center gleanings out of context? |

Barry likes him, for what it's worth. Quote:

Shower time.

| I am somewhat puzzled as to why everyone hates A-Rod. I don't really like him, but I don't have huge feelings of hate. Of course when and where I grew up had a lot to do with that. A-Rod and Jr. are the best.[/Mariner's fan]

Photographic proof of some retrobution.

What I want to know is, the story behind Rach's signature. |

Photographic proof of some retrobution. | Honestly, it's because A) A-Rod's a Yankee, and B) he gives off this air that rubs me the wrong way. Seriously. If I could just see footage of him in the way SF Giants fans get to see Barry regularly, I'm sure I would dislike him less.
It's the same with Jeter. He's larger-than-life, does too many commercials where he's center-stage... it just.. ugh. I'm sick of seeing him. I didn't hate him to begin with, but a foul taste begins to grow in my mouth with his media overexposure. Quote:

Now the quote is not a direct quote. I had a front-row seat for the action of the moment, but not a good seat in terms of hearing what exactly was said. Perhaps Art or another MtlFest-goer could elaborate better. (especially because I am completely wiped out now..) Quote:

I drove out to SF and back to Roseville today. I got to church at 11. Almost even made it on time! But no, my Chineseness won out and I was about 15 minutes late. That and traffic as I hit the streets of The City. But let's just blame my Chineseness for it, as it's rather like me anyhow.
So why the drive out there? Well, I had to pick up the registration tags for my car (and Stratty! How I missed thee.) so I drove down there and made a day of it. I made it to the worship service at my home church. Lots of excited waves, hugs, and comments on my hair. Haha. I was quite disappointed in that most of the people from my class (meaning, HS grad class) were mysteriously absent. I would hope and presume they were simply away doing camp prep sorts of things, because apparently there was the annual HS camp trip this week, and the lot were driving down to Watsonville today.
Rev. Yee gave another one of his famous home-hitting sermons today. One part that stuck out in particular was how we often gauge success in monetary terms, or related ones. I went to lunch with Marc afterward to chat and catch up a little, and that kinda crept back into our conversation. He made a comment about how I just seem... happy. And I was rather thrilled to be back in town and see so many familiar faces (although I felt so old, seeing how fast the young'uns are growing!), but really... Rev. Danny was spot-on with his sermon sidebar. I'm a failure in worldly terms, there's no two ways about it. I've over five years of dabbling in college with not even an AA to show for it, Art and I are broke, I don't have a job or any prospects yet, etc. But none of that really matters in terms of Christian success. Or happiness, as it were.
I'll detail the homecoming in awhile. My eyes (and head) are hurting at the moment.

Sorry I didn't see this last night.
It's alright, it's the thought that counts. Right? Quote:

I can understand, sounds like an interesting morning | I s'pose it is, although I had more thought-out, coherent words for you to read than blahblahBarryBondsblahblah. Y'know?
Interesting morning? I just got back to the apartment two hours ago, lugging four large, very heavy bags (and an electric guitar!) in with me. Seeing my parents is an ordeal, let me tell you.
Really though, there is some history there, specifically with my (Chinese) mom. I'll see if I can catch you up in a post or two. I really need some dinner and a hot drink. I figure filling the belly will fix the headache, as all the blood will be in my stomach, digesting my food.

It helps me out a lot, especially because I am hypoglycemic
