(It was the Pirates, not the Padres, and it was the game in which Bonds hit his 600th home run. We all got nifty pins. There is one on ebay selling for a whopping $6.99. I'm rich!)

| I do not like blog renaming. I just spent five minutes going through my subscribed threads looking for this blog.

I have to go to work. I'm wearing new work pants, though. That's a plus. |

| The Tahoe Jeff will be in my house tomorrow. Which means that we are trying to clear some of the clutter right now. It was more clutter than I really thought, but it is nice to finally get some of this done.
As a side note, squid is delicious. |

It is pretty sweet to see Jeff again. It had been probably 2 years since I last saw him, so this is good times. He's just here for the night, though, then continuing on his way up the mountain. Anyhow, there are good times. |

| That's great that you guys got to spend some time together. This is the first time he's met Rachel, right?

So that's three CGRers (I'm counting Dory) who like my sushi. And Art and myself, but we kinda have to eat my cooking, haha.
Oh, and contrary to previous statements, apparently I *can* play Guitar Hero. I just have to use a normal Xbox controller and put it on easy mode. Haha. Art and I both scored 95% on the last song we played last night. Whoo!
To elaborate on that: I had previously played a demo with Art awhile back and found the game unfun as playing the "guitar" was nothing like a real one. But with the controller, the game is reduced to its essential elements: button clicking and timing. No silly guitar comparisons. Much more fun for me that way. So yes. I shall be playing this with Art more often.
A jam session must needs be had before Teh Jeff is goneded from here. I think I decreed it already last night, but still. I mean, c'mon, I have Ibby and my keyboard and Art has his bass. And if I play keyboard, I can finally put my left hand to good use and pick up my homemade shaker! [/keyboardist joke]
Sooo... time to catch up in other blogs. And to figure out what to make for lunch.

| I'm stealing someone else's internetz. Because Art reconfigured the wireless network so Jeff could use it. And now I can't get back in.
Anyway.
It's all quiet in here now. I almost got completely used to having a third (and fun!) party around, playing video games and eating my food. Haha. And it was clearly good for Art and Jeff to see each other again. I can't pretend to speak for either of them, but I could definitely see Art's eyes light up and how much fun he was having. Jeff and I were still kinda figuring each other out a bit, as inperson meetups almost always go, but it was only significantly noticeable when Art left the room. And we at least had stuff to go on, such as, uh, CPF and Art's powers.
We did not have a jam session this time, sadly. Guitar Hero 2 sessions were plentiful, however. Maybe jam session next time. I still have to get my mics set up anyway.
In N Out was had before Jefe left for his hour-and-a-half drive to teh_Tahoe. And it was good. Art ordered animal fries with his 3x3, and upon hearing that Jeff decided to try some with his meal as well. I just had a lowly cheeseburger without the thousand island and normal fries, but that was still a big deal for me, as I don't normally get burgers. But it's In N Out we're talking here, not Mcfood. So burgers were enjoyed by all.
And the three of us looked down at our meals, and partook of them, and they were good. [/ye olde silly]
Art and I waved goodbye to Jeff and went straight to EB Games from lunch. Haha. We picked up Tiger Woods '06 and Kameo-something for 360 and Harvest Moon something or other for my Advance. (I'll check the names later; the cartons are in the living room and I'm in the bedroom right now.) Tiger Woods '06 was fun in the setting up of our characters, but got really frustrating really quickly as we both had to get used to the 360 controls. And neither of us did in the 15-30 minutes or so we spent futzing through a few holes. I whined a few times about it not being fun, and Art agreed. So we switched back to GH. And fun times were had by us both.
That is the summary of our yesterday. Oh, and one more thing: Jeff left his jacket here. As per tradition, we are suppossed to leave it hanging for almost a year and continually wonder whose it is.

| What, pray tell, are animal fries?
The thought of chewy squid makes me lose my appetite. I do not doubt your culinary abilities, Rachel; I just don't eat seafood (unless it's white fish that has been either fried or seasoned until it hardly tastes like fish anymore).

~Jon | Squid is only rubbery if it's not cooked properly. Otherwise, it's delicious.
I like squids. They have little beaks. |

| Rachel is not a big fan of squid. The squid I was speaking of is pre-packaged. It is kind of like squid jerkey. Quote:
