| Roseville is a small city. And growing, quite rapidly.
Of course, there is a bus stop right across the street from our apartment complex, but we have never looked up the schedule. And we are right across from the mall.
(Hi Mr. M.)
Our parking situation is pretty okay. The car not in a covered space has to be moved every 48 hours. Our covered space is one of the best spots for pool and mail access, so I occasionally find it taken by someone being dumb, but that's happened twice.
The noise does not bother me. It bothers Rachel, so that's bad. If it were just me, I would love living here. The two of us? It kind of sucks.
Jeff - it's not really a late dinner. I get off work at 9 PM.
-------------------------------------------------------
I shot a bow for the first time today, and I absolutely loved it.
My partner is an avid bow hunter/archer. I have always wanted to try shooting a bow, and he has been getting me more into it. Today, we were posted, and we went in Sportsman's Warehouse. We were checking out the archery stuff, and I decided to ask if I could shoot a few bows to see how I like it and get a feel for it. They were happy to oblige. So, I shot three different bows, a total of 7 shots. I have a nice bruise on my arm to show for it. And I loved it.
So, I am now hoping to get a good bow cheap. The last one I shot was wonderful, except the draw was too short for me. I have a big wingspan, as you can imagine.
My hope is that I can go on the big bowhunt with Kyle (my partner) next year. It would be definitely too expensive for this year. Of course, I just got home, and Rachel is cooking, so I have not discussed this with her at all yet.
We have been busier at work lately. 4-5 calls per day, up from 2 or 3.
Hello. |

| I love archery. Unfortunately, this summer I shan't be able to arch, as I won't be working at camp for the first time in seven summers... |

| Man, I've always wanted to try archery. I used to have one of those plastic bows with the string, and the arrows with the orange suction cups. |

| Fuhgidabaht archery and exoskeletons. It's all about pseudo-gundams, baby!
Hi Rachelface. Hi Artbeast.

I bet I would love it also; targets only, no animals.
Last summer at the cabin, Chloe and I were out for a walk and I spotted an archery target on a hay bale uphill from the road, looked around and saw across the road and downhill to my left, the archer with bow drawn. Very glad we hesitated and he saw us. |

I mean its messy, and kind of gross, but for me the relief of one more threat to life going down was worth it. (I started hunting them and the bounty went up after a 3 year old boy was mauled, owing to an overpopulation in the hemet area, but others were trying to protect livestock as well) I never kill for fun.
I may learn archery though. The archery club at Biola has offered to teach me. |

I am thankful that there are people that will take care of hunting predator/nuisance animals. I am certainly not opposed to that, nor hunting for necessity (food or clothing). I just don't have the stuff for killing animals. I suppose if I owned livestock and needed to protect them, then I would probably develop a different perspective. |

| To me, killing an animal "for sport" is just silly. I mean. There's this big mess, right? Who's going to clean it up? I certainly wouldn't want to end my fun by spending an hour or two cleaning up the mess of a dead water buffalo, or even a dead dog. Killing for sport is silly.

| If I am able to get into archery, I will be hunting. For sport/food. Deer or elk. I love venison. The practice would be on paper targets, of course. Fun stuff. Completely fun stuff. And hey, if I end up in the right place, I could have Amy's Taxidermy mount the antlers for me. Just kidding. Completely not interested in trophies. Just the meat. Mmm.
Anyhow, hunting predators is an interesting thought. I would probably like doing that.
I like my new name (Artbeast).
Mr. M - My back is doing great. I spent the weekend of the incident resting it as much as possible. That seemed to fix it right up.
Anyhow, we are planning to see a movie tonight at 11 PM. Rachel is asleep, but that is a minor detail. |
