It appears the way to make friends around here is to go to actions ... Anyway, I lead a song for the praise band I am in from Todd Agnew... This Fragile Breath. It is an amazing song, I just wish I could sing like him... anywho... Paul Coleman isn't as cool as it should have been or what? And does the Matt Redman one have Blessed be your Name? I love that song.

Taylors rule! Gibsons or Martins are cool too.

My mom has the Matt Redman CD, it's such a great album.

And I'm glad your new years and all went well... I'm going to bed.

Thank you mucho! Another... 15 days now, is it? hehe, can't wait... This year I get an extra day off of school, too. The day after is MLK Jr. day. Thank you, Congress for authorizing that, forseeing when my birthday would be.
The government always has you in mind.

So after poking around some more on these forums, I see there is a poetry forum... with contests and everything... hmm, maybe I'll actually dig out my poem book and copy/paste a few of my writings some time.
You should very well do that. The poetry forum is good stuff.

But until then... I have my 4th-graders to work with. Oh, man. They're awful and awesome at the same time. <~ me after a day with them
Just think of the poor teacher... he's overworked, underpaid, only gets 3 months off in the summer and 2 weeks off at the end of the year, and then he has to start all over again with the next batch of kids.
Ugh. I am definitely not going to be a teacher. I've made up my mind and that's final.
Only... Im lucky if I get every other weekend off...

birthday wish list:
1. Taylor guitar
2. A hot guy (preferably Josh Hartnett)
3. Inspiration for more songs
4. Maybe a party?
5. Maybe a DVD, like the LOTR trilogy? Ok, I can wait a bit for that.

-Rachel
Maybe a party? Definitely is a more optimistic word.

Twelve...

LOL-ing...
Yes, Where Angels Fear To Tread (Matt Redman) is good, and so's Grace Like Rain (Todd Agnew). I'm disappointed in the PC3 CD only b/c I was hoping it would be either more rock-y or more worship-y, and it's neither. To me, anyway. It's a bit like the second Lifehouse CD- it's gonna take some warming-up to before I get in the groove of it is all. Unless I never do... which is always a possibility. Save My Soul is the only song I kinda like, and that's only b/c I got a burned CD with that on it as a belated Christmas gift from a Sun. school teacher/drummer from Band. *sigh*

Yes, bigpirate. Post in actions. And advertise. hehe. Thanx Rei and nards for poking around! I need to spread around the love and rep points first but you'll get some more soon!

Looks like that Taylor is outta the Q for now. But I can always start begging for next year.... There's always electric to graduate to. Or bass... I'm definitely starting to pick that up.

And then there's the issue of that hot guy. ... since there's hardly any likelihood of a party. I, in my true Chinese fashion, have made sure not to blab to my friends when the day is... of course, I'm kinda advertising this blog on my AIM profile and everything, but I dunno who of my friends really reads these anyway.

BTW, he doesn't have to be JH, if anyone DOES read this. I'll settle for a certain other hot guy I know... *aHEM aHEM*

I'll post those poems another nite... I gotta get some sleep 2nite.

Till next time,
-Rachel

haha... you are very subtle ... I kinda do that too, tell all of my friends in roundabout ways who I like... kinda just my style.

You've been unblocked now. (And I'm on Pacific time, so it wasn't 11:30 here.)

So anyways...

I submitted one of my poems to the lit board. It's something I dashed off last night in a fit of emotions.... Hah. Most of what I write is written in a fit of emotion, but nevermind that. I kinda like this one... I didn't title it. I don't think I will. It doesn't seem to need a title.

Skipped school today. My dad caught something and my mom's a bit afraid I might get it too. So I stayed away from the germ-carriers. It's ok, the little rascals will survive. The teacher, though, I'm not so sure.

I got back to my BNT game today... and I got killed again, how predictable. I'm always finding myself back at square one when I log in to that. I guess the other players on there know how to play obsessively and pick on people much smaller than themselves.

Oh well.

Stayed home from the munchkins again today. My dad just got sicker- his voice changed and he's been coughing up phlegm all day. Lovely.

I went out shopping with my mom in the afternoon tho. We went to Macy's and I got 5 sweaters and a black top- all "early birthday gifts" of course, but hey, I needed sweaters anyway. It's been really cold for San Francisco weather lately. Less than 65 degrees qualifies as "cold" here to most of us, and we usually get that kind of weather over the summer. Well, we've been getting under-60-degree weather for close to a month now. Brrrr. *cold*
Yes, I'm a spoiled city girl.

... and you know my sig? well....

I always love going to San Fran in the summer. Get a nice break from the hundred plus degree weather that I live in. Plus its a beautiful place. I hate driving in the city though. Its been low 30s at nights here. Durring the day it might get into the 60s...
