Well... i suppose i better explain a lil bit more. The term comes from "hapa haole" which is the Hawaiian term for someone who's half asian, half white.... except that that's sort of an insult. So they dropped the last word and now "hapa" is used to refer to half asian people on the Islands... but here in California, we generally use it to refer to anybody of mixed asian/other descent or even just mixed in general. The term is kind of a free-for-all here... but don't tell that to the Hawaiian people. haha. they're still quite vigilant about "oh, if you're not from hawaii you can't be a REAL hapa" and all that bunk. As if we don't go through the same prejudices and stereotypes they do.... sheez.

Oh and i don't really kno evanescance's stuff.... i heard their songs on the radio but dunno how to play 'em and i'm not terribly keen on learning their stuff anyway. haha. Switchfoot rox my sox now tho..... i only have their latest cd b/c i was only recently converted to fandom, but hey! I love The Beautiful Letdown!

I can play "My Immortal." But that's the only Evanescence song I know.
