You're pretty good on the keys, what kind of keyboard do you have? It sounded a bit like mine........well, without all the distortion, of course. |

| Thanks Mark... Hahaha no Akshay. It's just some cheapo Casio. I think my dad paid like about $200 for it on sale. At least it can plug into my dad's nice huge amp tho.
Ok.... more stuffs I did yesterday. I'm getting tired and hungry so I'll be leaving in a sec. So if I post something that I don't have lyrics for.... well ex-CUUUSE me. hahaha. I'll have 'em on another time.....
the first is Disappeared again.. in piano this time. The second is what I was initially going to play at my church's cafe night last month, it's called Striving. enjoy!

I also have a cheap-o Casio (listen to my "Surrender" recording, it sounds just like yours). I think mine was like $120. Do you have a sustain pedal for yours? It doesn't sound like it.
I liked your playing, how long have you played piano? have you taken lessons?
Later,

Later,
mark | yea i do have a pedal... but i guess it didn't love me, heh. plus I had the thing plugged into my dad's monster amp.... which i'd never done before, so i don't know what kind of effect that had on my settings. maybe i shoulda went with one of the electric piano settings or piano/strings or something. hrm... next time, next time.
I took lessons waaaaaayyyyy back in the day... heh. I took piano from when I was in like, first grade till fourth or so. then i dropped it when my 4th/5th grade teach made the entire class take up either flute, clarinet, trumpet or violin... so i took flute. three years... dropped it after 6th grade for choir. then when high school began, my pastor's wife kinda got me into piano again. She helped me chord out my songs and I took some lessons from her to read lead sheets. I think they were grooming me to take over for her and lead worship Sunday mornings.... but i left that church. hah. so oh well for them. But now I can use my gifts for the church i'm at, so there was indeed a purpose behind it all. Quote: |

| Striving listen to song
Broken, here I stand before You again
And all the dreams I used to have are gone
I know nothing in this life compares to You
But every little thing I try to do seems so wrong
You never said it would be easy to follow You
But that doesn't mean that I should turn away
And I'm slowly letting go of all I used to own
But still, I'm not where I wanna be today I've reached a fork in the road
I'm so afraid, I don't know where to go
These paths are winding, but I've gotta face my fears
Tell me, where do I go from here
I don't have all the answers
To the many questions that flood my mind
But now, I feel the need to
Know just where my destiny lies
I can't explain why I'm so confused
But it's just not making any sense
And now I realize I need Your help
So please, show me what I'm up against

I don't think I would be as good as I am today if I had taken lessons.
Do you still play flute? I never liked instruments that I had to blow into. You're welcome. No need to blush. Quote: |
I'm gonna post the words for Striving in a sec.
| Ahh, awesome. Now I understand what you're singing. lol. |
